I recently went into the Verizon (http:///#) Store here in San Francisco - no jeering, please! - and found an accessory that is now one of my favorites.

It's the JABRA STEREO EARGEL HEADSET (#).

If you have a stereo-capable phone (http:///#) or PDA (http:///#), I really recommend shelling out the $29.99+tax for this piece of equipment.

FEATURES:

Fully Stereo Capable. Once you plug it into the headphone (#) socket, you get full L/R stereo.
Answer/End button. If you're using the 660X, as I am, a short tap on it will access call waiting/three-way, press and hold for call end.
EarGels. Anyone who has used this little creation can agree, these suckers will stay in. As an added bennie, this package also comes with a pair of those felt pads for those users who are 'purists'.

Having stated these features, I purchased a set and tried them out. Here is my findings.

PROS:

Snug fit in the ears. I wear glasses, so having something hanging off the earlobes is not a wise choice. By using the Jabra Gels, I have a set of headphones (http:///#) that won't fall out; I actually have to use my fingers to remove them.
Sound quality (http:///#). Be sure to use the volume control on the phone (#), because these suckers are LOUD! But, even so, at full volume, there is little distortion in the sound quality (#). The mic is sensitive as well, so the phone will catch what's being spoken.
Double clips. This might not seem at first to be worthy to note, but this device has an in-line mic. By having the second clip included, you can position the mic so that it's close to your mouth.
CONS:

Thin wires. This is my major complaint with all Jabra equipment. They use the lowest quality wire that is available. So you have to be careful, otherwise you'll break the wire inside and have to buy a new set.
In-line mic. In my view, a boom-mic is a better choice. When you have the microphone (#) sitting on your chest, it won't pick up your voice as well as when it's sitting on your jaw.
I had to buy it from Verizon (#). Sprint (#) could easily carry this.
The plug. I had to pull out the plug about .5 cm (1/5") to get it to give out sound from both sides. I fixed this by using a grommet that is used on eyeglass hinges to tighten them. Once I did that, I just click and go.
All this being said, I feel that this is a solid purchase if you're using your phone or PDA (#) as a MP3 (http:///#) player or listening to web-casts. Be sure, tho', that if you use them, DON'T DRIVE WHILE WEARING THEM!!! Other than it being illegal in many states, these things will block out most outside sound.

Hell, I don't drive, but I still switch to a regular Jabra EarBoom when I go between home and work...
