keep in mind i have had this phone active for all of 10 minutes.
comes with phone, battery, battery door, nokia charger and an adaptor presumably so you can use this charger with other phones since the nokia plug is significantly smaller than the usual universal plug. there is a button on the side to activate voice dial so you can use the phone while it's closed. there is also a volume rocker button. the bottom contains a place for the nokia plug as well as a pop-port connection.
it looks like the cheapest phone ever. it also feels a bit cheap in some aspects. but it's also fairly solid in others. it's basically just a box with an antenna. yet all the pieces seem to fit precisely (except the 2.5mm headset plug which won't stay put entirely). keypad feels very comfortable to use. the size is virtually identical to the 840 but with a big 'ol antenna sticking out of it. silver accent arround the blue-ish grey front piece. rest is matte silver like most other phones. the plugs and side buttons look like they are silver painted in the style of a plastic model car. yet all this having been said there is a certain charm to it.
the screen is nice but i would never ever compare this to the 4050. it's almost like it's a 4050 if the 4050 were STN. but still nice.
vision is unreal. it's so friggin' fast i almost couldn't believe it. it's been a while since i've used the 4050, and since then i've used fairly average browsers. but this thing has to be incredibly fast by any standard i would imagine.
usual nokia UI that i know and love.
incoming audio sounds very good. the speakerphone sounds ok but a bit cheapy. it may be the horrendously bad ringers that came on the phone and not so much the speakerphone itself. supposedly full-duplex. we shall see.
finally, there are several ringers and tons of screensavers on it. some of the screensavers are animated and at least one (of a sky dive jump) is a video. i currently put a animated stars screensaver on it. when i open the phone the only thing you see is stars coming at you and the reception meter and battery meters. no other info at all until you hit the menu key. speaking of menu key, i didn't realize this from the online pics but there is a tiny little button in the middle of the directional pad. probably kinda tough for big fingers but it hasn't caused me any problems yet.
i like it. i'll post a more detailed review soon.
