Okay, so maybe I'm missing something obvious... but when importing a gif is there any way to add all frames to the time line at once without having to drag and drop each one and reset the timing? It's fine for a short animation, but once you up the frames to anything past 15 it just takes far too much longer than it should.

Any help?

First, the answer is no.

Second, PMD animations with more than maybe 5-10 frames don't handle very well on phones . They work on some 535's without a problem and with others they cause a reboot. Some phones can only play animations with a certain number of frames (8, I'm told, for the 5600).

But yeah, it is annoying. If it's any consolation, I've had to work with thousands of frames in programs. Espresso becomes your best friend.

I figured as much with the No answer.. the reboots being related to an animation over 8 frames makes sense though. I pretty much stuck a 24 frame pmd on my phone the first day I got it, had have reboot issues sporadically since I recieved the phone. I'll retool the gif and see if that gets rid of them. Taken it to a sprint store, had the tech run a diagnostic on it with no issues showing up.

The things we find when we aren't looking eh?

Thanks for the reply :)

Hmm, as you too have a 535 I have an interesting question for a possible workaround for you..

As the 535 supports using .3gp videos as wallpaper would it be viable to convert .GIF > .3GP and use them as an animated wallpaper? It would seem this would make the conversion a WHOLE LOT easier (using ImTOO 3GP Converter) as well as possibly remove the glitchy frame limit.
