I'm developing a web application that depends on Sprint mobile users being able to send and receive text messages to and from an email address. Are there any issues or problems I may run into regarding phone compatibilities (i.e. some phones can send text to email, some can't) or message formatting (i.e. extra characters or symbols in the message body)???

If so, are there workarounds/fixes? Any resources out there on this matter?

thanx in advance

I think all phones can text to and receive from email addresses (all of mine have been able to--I do it all the time). Pretty sure characters are all relatively safe, at least the ones people would use.

Only problem you would run into is message length. 160 characters is standard.

Thanx for the reply.

Any other potential issues or problems?
