Hi all,

Just became a Sprint customer over the weekend and as of yesterday, I added the PCS Vision Plus pack to my service. I have a few questions about the service that I was hoping can get answered.

(Please keep in mind that I've been with Cingular since 1995 until last Saturday)

Web Access - Can I only access certain websites that are linked from the PCS home site, or are there other sites I can get to?

Picture / Video Mail - From what I understand, the Picture Mail service works different than what's known as "MMS" right? The Cust Serv Rep told me that when I send one to people who are not Sprint Customers, they will get a link to go to retrieve the message. Is that right?

E-mail - is it just "myusername@sprintpcs.com" and anyone can send me an email at that address, and I can view the message on my phone? Are there limitations, e.g. no attachments, or size limit to attachments?

Instand messaging - log in to AOL or MSN, etc from my phone?

Thanks in advance!

No, you can access just about any site as long as it will load on your phon. Sprint doesn't block out sites. There should be an icon/button to push where you can type in a web address.

Yes, if you send a picture message to a non Sprint customer they will be given a link to view the image I believe. Same way with E-mailing it, they have a link and a thumbnail image.

As for the E-mail on a normal phone, I'm not sure. I'm used to my PPC 6600, and Treo 650 when using E-mail. I've never accessed E-mail from my Sanyo 5600 to know how that works.

You can send AIM text messages via the portal, or if someone from AOL/AIM sends you a text message, you can reply via that.

So basically everything is run from the website through the phone? If I want to send a text message, which will be directly from the phone, then there's extra chrage (unless I buy the Text message package, etc.)?

Right, basically... And yes, with the new plans text messages aren't included, for unlimited it is now 15.00 extra om top of your vision charges.

well that blows.... so if I want to be able to get to the web, and send text messages, it's $30 more. :irked:
