I tried to upload a ringtone to my sanyo 5600 and now the URL takes me to the sprint users focus page but there's NO link download the ringtone! What's up w'dat?! If this is an example of the improvements, then I think I like the old way better. At least I got the ringtones before. :irked:

I'm new to this site and I do not know how reliable SprintUsers.com is, but it's funny how they haven't replied on their own Focus Support Thread. I'm not really complaining. I haven't been able to use this tool, but hopefully some error will be worked out soon so I can. Plus, SprintUsers.com offer this Focus tool for free, so there's really no room for complaining, I guess.

I have same problem trying to upload ring tones. I get the 'Status' message that says I must login. I am already logged in. This is my first attempt so I wasn't sure if that was the standard message or a bug. I never receive the text message with the link to download the ringer.

Also, I have tried this using both Internet Explorer 6 and FireFox. Same problem with both browsers, so doesn't appear to be browser related.

As everyone else has said, after I upload my ringtone it doesn't send it to my phone or give me a link to a jump code or anything like that at all, but keeps telling me I need to be logged in, which I obviously am. I used to use the Focus tool ALL the time for my ringtones and I loved it, now it's just giving me troubles :(

I've used rumkin.com for ringtones several times. IT works. You can send pics to your phone for wallpaper by using your regular email, attach the pic you want to use (jpeg format) and email it to:
your ph#@pm.sprint.com

But I've been using the focus tool 4 a while. I'll just use the phone uploader till this one gets fixed. The phone uploader works really good.

if ya have internet on yer pone..and have the ring tones setup right "m4a" ya just got to http://www.phoneuploader.stellernet.com/ and do what its tells ya and it will show ya what link to go to on yer phone, when ya get there on yer phone ya type in the jump code and download it.

Anyway, could it be that since the .gcd file is telling the phone to download the .mp4 file into the "Vidoes" folder that this is what the cause is for the error? Probably not. I just thought I'd let you know that Focus is trying to put .mp4 files in a "Vidoes" folder. :p

I am a new registered member and I am attempting to use the Focus tool. I have been able to upload my ringer, and access it from my phone. But......when I attempt to download the ringer, I get an error message that says the error has been recorded-try again later. Hi,

I'm having a weird problem with my new phone. It's the motorola Vm3 and I CAN upload m4a's onto Focus and download them. When I download them, I can listen to them. The problem occurs when I set them as a ringer, to a specific person or to just calls with ID, it just vibrates without playing the music.

Any suggestions?

"Focus" problem, a phone problem, a Sprint system problem, a URL problem, etc?

I used "Focus" to send a simple ringtone.mid file that is very short; I labeld the file N6JSX.mid and titeld the ringtone "N6JSX" - about as simple as it gets.
The "Focus" message/link gets to my Sanyo 8400.
But I go to download it from the URL and it bombs out immediately displaying:

Error 905
Attributes
Mismatched

I've seen this same issue on many messages in the Forums but no answers - no defintion list of Error Codes. The Forum search function is not very helpful either.

What am I or the system doing wrong - how can it be fixed so we all become happy Sprint "paying" users? :frustrate

I'm sure these three "focus", messages have cost me $.45 already and I'm sure their is a hidden cost to access the URL for downloading. If this is a "focus" problem shouldn't Sprint/Focus eat the costs?

Still not working. As a network administrator, I can tell you that increased bandwidth would cause a larger amount of latency to occur rather than zero browser activity. In a perfect world with high bandwidth, the browser would attempt to perform the requested action from the script and standby when it is ready to send and receive data. Obviously, since the browser shows no activity when the Submit button is pressed, the script is no longer working properly.

Also, clearing the browser cache both through IE and through a manual process and logging out and back into the site have proven to be ineffective measures to resolution.

That's what I was thinking. Having had my own website in the past (for many years), a link that is clicked with no reaction whatsoever usually means that the link itself is broken (javascript, in this case).

What file format is it? Note the formats that the uploader can work with, as this may be the problem.

Well, the focus uploader currently is having problems of that exact nature. This has been a problem for a short while, and there's been no reply to the posts thus far. My guess is that with the holiday season upon us, things have gotten hectic, and no one has of yet been able to look at it.

Until it gets fixed, you can try this (free) uploader:

I have an A900 and have tried the rumkin and a couple of other uploaders. On the rumkin site, after clicking Go, I get the song playing and have no way to save it. FunForMobile's site continues to give me File not found errors.

What gives? I'm trying to upload a m4a file generated with the same tools I've used in the past. This is really annoying.

Hi everyone, I'm also having a problem getting ringtones to my phone.
I have a Sanyo M1 and the Focus tool was working fine.
now I get the Sprintusers Wap page but it says ïnvalid page" The page you requested does not exist.

Now I suppose I should mention that it WAS working fine but now it's not!
I'm in New Zealand and the only way I could get it to work before was to put 0000000000 in the mobile number field so it generated an address for me so I could access it with the wap on the phone as no text was ever sent here LOL.
I would love to continue using the focus tool as Rumkin and others have never worked for me!
