I'm thinking about getting a treo phone and i have a few questions. Do i have to pay extra for using versamail? I have pcs vision now. How is the reception with these phones? How easy are they to sync with a mac?

No, as long as you have a vision plan then using Versamail is free.
I've found the reception on the 650 to be pretty good.
As for syncing with a mac, I don't have any hands on experience with that, but I bet it's not much different than with a regular PC. Just make sure it can be done.

it comes with what it needs to hotsync with a mac on the cd. theres tons of support for it on the palm website, including downloads. but one thing is dont expect the same quality of service if you call in to advanced tech support for help with it, they (we) dont have much experience with macs. but we will help as much as we can.

Missing Sync for Palm OS is a terrific alternative to HotSync for the Mac users. It works with iSync or Entourage for contacts/calendar/tasks. It even allows you to interface with itunes and put songs on your SD card. Check it out at

i agree with that, but just a fair warning, support from sprint will be null for this, will have to go back with missing sync for issues with synching.

Support from Sprint for Macs is and always has been null. They claim no Mac support for PDA phones, or DUN from Macs to phones or connection cards but they all work. You need to do the legwork and figure it all out yourself. It's a PeeCee/Windoze world!

Can the Treo hook up to a wifi (#) network?
In a simple answer, No. Some have been able to get it to work via various hacks, but it's harsh. If you're not a Treo PowerUser then I wouldn't recommend doing the WiFi hacks that have been published.

Yeah that's no problem. As far as services go 650s act much like any other ESN.
