OK - first I do not yet have a PPC6700, still on the fence.

I know when in an area with EVDO, it seems you are not allowed to view wap (maybe I am using wrong terminology, but I mean graphics-light, text-heavy sites) sites, such as www.mobile.cnn.com (get an invalid client error message)

How about when you are in an area withOUT EVDO and phone reverts back to 1xRTT, does system:
a) allow you to hit wap sites OR
b) does system force you to use full-blown html sites (like www.cnn.com).

If you are not allowed wap sites (option b) ), then this is ONE MAJOR SHORTFALL of having this phone IMO. SlowA55 data access if you are in an area withOUT EVDO.
