my sister sent me an im from her aim screenname and usually i cant reply... just view the message but now it says screenname: message (you can reply to this message) there are two ways to get messages from aim.. either +1phonenumber or set up mobile im forwarding with you screenname

Yup, I just got the same thing when I had IM forwarding on. It worked fast too. If this works like this all the time, no more Vision AIM page for me :)

are you talking about Aim SMS? ive been using the AIM SMS (short codes) and i can send/reply to them PLUS the text is bigger. Aim through the wap site (at least on the sanyo 5600) is small and hard to read.

i just send a message to 265-000 to sign in (user name and password) and then can type 265-002 to see who is online/offline. i like this better then the wap site because i stay logged on longer and i will get a text message when i have been signed off. i guess it will log you off after so long of a period of time. with the wap AIM i would get logged off several times a day without knowing i was logged off.

No, I've used that before too.

What this does is if you use the WAP AIM site and have IM Forwarding on, if you get signed out of the WAP site, it'll show you signed on using IM Forwarding. And now when you get an IM forwarded to you, you can reply to it.

It does use the short codes like AIM SMS though.

Although to view your buddy list, you either have to log into WAP AIM (in which case you still have to log on to the site to reply to a message I think), or the AIM SMS using 256000.

This is OLD news... http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74267

And, here's my post that explained the differences between AIM SMS, AIM Forwarding BEFORE AIM SMS, and AIM Forwarding AFTER AIM SMS: http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showpost.php?p=742647&postcount=108

Please use that thread for further discussion. :wavey:
