Ok, so i got my 8300 yesterday and have sent several AAC ringtones to it. Big improvement over the QCP's. Today i tried to send several wallpapers. They are all failing with an error 907. the images are each under 30k in size saved as .jpg and 176x220, Ive used the vision tool here and the one at t1mmy.net, both give me the same error message. Ive also tried sending jpgs that others have created and have also pulled the battery from my phone, updated my vision profile in the settings etc.
Please help if you have any advice in this issue.

Hmmm... 907 is a server error, yes? Have you tried sending more ringtones to see if it will let you send anything at all?
A few things I would try: a) check your memory status to see if maybe you're close to being out; b) delete a ringtone or two and try to send a wallpaper again, as you might have reached your maximum download capacity; c) pray really, really hard.
You could also try purchasing one from Sprint to see if that will work. If it doesn't, you can request a refund. At that point I would take it into a Sprint store and have a tech look at it. I had something similar happen with my first 8920 and it turned out to be because I didn't have the latest software version on it, which somehow stopped me from being able to download ANYTHING at all.

Thanks I will try those things.
Same thing happens on my phone. To the letter. 907 is an unrecognized file error. Funny thing is, the buggering phone knows the file is a wallpaper when it's downloading the thing, but when its done, it freaks. Probably the evil of sprint thinking that instead of downloading my old pictures to my new phone, I might be trying to get a jessica simpson wallpaper for free that I'd otherwise have to buy from them or some such nonsense.
Figured something out. Go into photoshop and double the resolution of your 176 x 220, try uploading it again. I think the phone desires to resize the image itself. You can send it a photo of about any resolution it takes and it will get the file fine.

my solution:
try 176x220 in photoshop
name the file
open file in paint
rename file with .jpg instead of .jpeg extension and VOILA !
Huh, I just changed the doubled the resolution and it worked fine. Couldn't use focus of course, but thankfully there are some focus clones out there.

what exactly do you mean by doubling the resolution? you mean 144?

The 8300 takes 176x220 I believe, so you would make it twice that size = 352x440. That's what doubling the resolution means, so I assume that's what he meant. Correct me if I'm wrong.

well it may be what he meant, i'm not sure. i thought he meant doubling the res from 72 to 144, but that is overkill. i will try your suggestion though. thanks....something has got to work.

i tried the 352x440 but i still got an error and i think it was a different numbered error at that.
oh well i'm sure someone will have a solution soon.

What uploaders have you tried?

i tried rumkin and kivers and have been successful (with my ringers), except for one that downloaded and played it back too fast, but that's a whole other section of this forum. anyhow i was able to upload one jpg, but it did that whole resize thing, and that's when i looked into a possible solution here. i have tried using FOCUS many times but it won't even send the text message to my phone.
it's odd though that the phone will take photos "full screen" but not downloaded wallpapers. ihave tried resizing my images larger than 176x220 but it just gives me an error.

Honestly, try the t1mmy uploader I linked to earlier. I have problems, at least for now, with both Focus and Rumkin with wallpapers. I know quite a number of people who share similar problems with both and t1mmy has worked for everyone who has tried it.
