What is the type of text messaging that you just push OK and read it? Currently I have to log on to the internet for each message. It's very time consuming and frustrating. :irked:

Sounds like you have an older phone that uses Short Mail. All the phones now use SMS which is sent to your phone and saved in an inbox. No need to go online.

Two-way SMS is soooooo much better than Shortmail ever will be.

Shortmail was a pain on the 8100 especially when people kept texting me.

I just stopped responding after it got annoying.

SMS has completely changed my wireless experience. I got Vision when it first came out and had 'web messaging', etc. unlimited on there. But my LG-5350 didn't have SMS, so I didn't use text messaging and hardly even knew what it was. About a month ago I got a new phone with SMS, and have used messaging about as much as voice. I didn't realize how nice it was to have 'free' unlimited text messaging until I got SMS. Those messages sure as hell rack up quickly.

I didn't even know I had it until I went to get a new phone last month. I always thought Unlimited Web Messages was referring to PCS Mail. I probably would have gotten an SMS-capable phone a long time ago if I would have know what I had on my Vision plan.
