Sanyo vm4500/5500

So I wanted a high end Phone with speaker. But I went to sprint and I just bought a 5500 in sept. 05. I knew it was being fazed out but they had a bunch in stock.
I liked it even though the 8300 had higher specs/lower price..I still need a large screen..its just a thing with me.
even if it is lower res screen. I was returning an 8200 (fuzzy speaker)
So my question is: are there 5500's in stock at other stores in the country? Im in KC MO.
and when did the 4500/5500 get discontinued anyway?

I didnt realize it till I bought it, but its ok with me as I like it a lot..also i was looking at a 5600 but look what already happened to the 5600 , no more(plus too big for me)
...but I kinda feel like sprint is selling old stuff at their stores now cuz I just bought it.
What have you all seen at the store recently? any 5500's? Did they pull the 5600's? (I doubt it)
