I had been saying all preseason that Willie Parker was our most dangerous running back. I was kind of happy when I found out he was going to get the start in week 1. He started off kind of slow though. He had 4 yards on his first 4 carries, but after that he had 18 carries for 157 yards which is about 8.7 ypc. I can't wait until week 3 when we play the Patriots again. Hopefully we will continue to win and break their record of consecutive regular season games won.

A lot of MLB teams and announcers predict that the Yankess will win the World Series this year but they might not even make into the playoffs. Who cares about favorites, and regular season records it's what you do in the playoffs that count. Don't get me wrong the Steelers have a great team and will have another great regular season but will see if they can win the big game (just like my Browns when they were good). No hate just speaking the truth. ;) My Browns will take some time to adjust but they'll be back.

Well, it probably wouldn't have made a difference but it's interesting to note-

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- A clock error added 52 seconds to the fourth quarter of the Patriots-Steelers game Sunday. The extra time aided the Patriots during a winning drive that ended with Adam Vinatieri's 43-yard field goal with 1 second remaining.

You Steeler fans are probally breathing a lot better today. Charlie Batch didn't play all last year and I think only a few snaps the year before. Maddox isan't the same player. I was surprised the Chargers didn't bring up there entire team to stop the run after Big Ben went down even know they were in good shape to kick a field goal. If Cowher is smart he'll do the smart thing and sit Ben out for a game. I'm not really sure but I doubt Ben will be able to run like normal against the Jags.

I was surprised the Chargers didn't cover there last kickoff good letting the Steelers to the 40. I think the Chargers should've passed to Gates for the 2 point conversion since they ran it in for the touchdown. If the Chargers did get it, it would've been interesting to see how batch would do throwing the ball.

The Steelers are a average team without Big Ben. You really need a decent back up QB and we know that Maddax and Batch suck. You Steeler fans better hope Big Ben gets healthy quick for the Bengals next week. ;) As for my Browns they only had 4 wins all of last year and they already have 2 this year so I think there finally headed in the right direction. Hopefully they can get at least one of there 2 number 1 draft picks on the field soon.

Steelers suck, I hated every minute of my time in Pittsburgh, except when I was with my children. The whole city sucks, from the strip district, to north hills, back to the south side. The city is terrible so are all their sports teams. The last great team that city had was an ABA team that won the first ABA title then it got smart and left for MN. Pittsburgh gets trounced by the Colts. Big Ben if he played would be out the rest of the season. Batch, Maddox, or Rothleisberger cant lead that team to victory over the Colts. A lot of people from the burgh going to be crying in their beer when that happens.

Yeah, I'm sure Indy is soo much better? If you don like my teams say so!!! But don't insult my town... I'm sure the reason why you think Pittsburgh sucks is because McDonalds didn't pay you enough to pay your bills. I'm sure fast food resturants pay much better in Indiana!

Your whole town stinks and isnt that far removed from having brown sunsets again. The Washington Wild Things have a better chance at the World Series than the Pirates. The new convention center will eventually fall into the river, I can only hope the rest of the city follows soon after. Yins cant even pronounce Iron you guys call it arn, jesus christ if i ever hear someone order and arn city ever again I will kill myself. Iron city. The 70s were a long time ago and from the mulletts to the sports team thats what the city is living on. Everytime I went to Kretzlers I got to hear about how the city is the City of Champions, that was 1979 get over it, about how great the beer is there(Yuengling is great), the whole city is the dumps.

They didn't man handle the Browns if the first drive but after that they did. I can only imagine how worried you were when the Browns scored on the opening drive. It was a bad break for the Browns when the officials whistled the play dead when the Steelers fumbled in the first quarter on the there 30 when the Browns had a 7-0 lead. :frustrate Browns can't beat anyone win they have turnovers, dropped passes, over thrown passes to a wide oped receivers ect. I do feel there headed in the right direction no matter what you or anyone else says about them. When Fry is ready I think you'll see a totally different Browns team. :fingers: I still think if the Steelers are going to do anything this season Big Ben needs to be healthy.

My point was that the Steelers practically have the worst back up QB's in the NFL. I think if a team has a decent back up QB and your team is good you still have a chance to win a Superbowl. Didn't New England do it with Tom Brady when Bledso got hurt? Batch did play better than what he did last week but it takes a lot of presure off when your defense scores 14 points (int/fumble). He under threw a pass in the first quarter that hung up in the air and should've been picked off but went for big gain. Even if Big Ben gets healthy for the playofffs you better hope he plays better than he did last year. I think the presure got to him a lot. If the Steelers don't do anything this year you got to wonder if they ever will.

There is a article in the papper today that Edwards is demanding the ball more. I like to see that because he is a playmaker. The Browns aren't rushing Fry but I think it's time to throw him in there and see how he does. Like I said before if the Steelers had to start all over then they would go through some losing seasons just like Brown. Not to mention Butch Davis and power ego didn't help the team at all. Hopefully Winslow comes back to his full potential. I think the Browns will give the Steelers some better games in the near future. :fingers: The browns can only get better and your Steelers are not going to be good forever. ;)

is Avalon right past Belluview, before Ben Avon, wonder why I have a Pittsburgh zip code, I lived there for a few years had the screen name when I moved away and dont feel like changing it. I lived in the 15212 on the Northside intersection of Marshall and Brighton for most of the time which is right there near Oliver HS. From yahoo to gmail thats what it is. Beer buying I think not, a wager on this weeks Colts-Steelers game, say a case of Black and Tan from Americas oldest brewery sounds a lot better. Well NONAME looks like your Steelers got there A@@ kicked. I know my Browns suck but at least they gave the Colts a better game (6-13). :p What was Cowher thinking with the onside kick and Big Ben trying to run 4 yards on 4th down. I think Colts will go undefeated.Man, I dont know what he was thinking :irked: (Cowher). Well at the look of things, it appears that there will be a Indy VS. Seattle Superbowl :Popcorn2: . The Steerers and Brownies play in about 3 weeks :deal:

where is noname and his love of the steelers. should have taken me up on that case of beer, its hard to find yeungling in indiana. where are the steelers fans at now. at least have the nads to post today or something, i hate fans who support the team until they lose.

Really must be nice to jump on the closest bandwagon! If the 49ers go 11-0 next season I'm willing to bet you'll move to San Fran and paint half your face red and the other half gold!

When Dickerson played for the Colts I was a fan, when they were routinely at the bottom of the AFC east I was fan. When the comeback kid played for them I was a fan, when Jeff George played for them and there were oh so high hopes I was a fan. When the only good game of the season for Colts fans was when we played New England cause we could win that game I was a fan.

Move to another city, just to claim I was a fan of some football team is horrible to suggest if the 49rs end up 11-0 next year I wont post about being a 49er fan I will be posting about the Colts repeating as SB champs. So whatever, come up with some excuses about how your team lost because of piped in noise, or some other lame ass Pittsburgh excuse about why your team lost but they will still get one for the thumb this year. Cant wait until you Fans of Big Ben start treating him like you treated Kordell Stewart.

Steelers didn't own the Bengals today. ;) I think the days of the Steelers owning the Bengals are over. I know you think my Brownies have no shot next year but if they improve there offensive line I think they will surprise some people. :fingers:

I would like to see a rematch between the Colts and the Bengals while they are on top of thier game. I think that would be a real good one :headbang2

I was worried about you. ;) I wonder if Cowher gets the boot if they continue to lose? I guess he just signed a new contract.

I like how Chad Johnson is running his mouth once again. He said there going to score 40 points against my Brownies. I forget when it was but I remember one time when he ran his mouth the Browns shut him down. The Browns defense is not all that bad but the offense needs to keep the ball so they don't get to tired.

I tell you what though, the AFC north is gonna be a force next year. Hey, did you notice... that at this point that a record of 10 and 6 may not even get you a wild card in the AFC this year? :Popcorn2:

Thats true about the wild card. 11 -5 might not even make it, if certain situations happen. If we don't do well in the playoffs, I'll just think back to those losses to baltimore and jacksonville (Tommy M's int in overtime). And Ben was injured quite a bit this season so, maybe in the playoffs :fingers: everyone will be healthy and maybe, the steelers will see teams that they can handle. Who knows!!

Who knows!!Well, were in...now what happens? This has been a crazy year in the NFL, it could go anybodys way, But I have a funny feeling about NE again. I think if the Pats play the colts again, they will beat them. Funny, but I feel the same goes for Cincy and Pittsburgh, and not because of the tragity that the coach indured. I think what i'm really trying to say is, the Steelers still have a legit shot at this thing ;) . As far as the NFC, I dont really see anyone but Seattle with a clear shot. The NFC lacks to much, and appear to be pretty weak (except for Seattle).

road to the title goes through the hoosier dome(rca my ass), NE loses in the dome if they get there. Pittsburgh will make it through the first round, shame to see the bus not get a ring, but it happens if he lost about 50 pounds he could come back. Great guy loved watching him play at ND, and at Pittsburgh but its the year of the Colts.

I figured you would reply with a comment like that. The Steelers could easily be 7-5 if it wasn't for the turnovers. I'm sure I'll here some excuses form you when your Steelers lose to the Colts, Bengals, Bears, and yes the BROWNS. Enjoy your first place for now because it's not going to last much longer and if it does big ben will choke in the playoffs just like he did last year. :hee:........ Just looking back on the good ole days :frustrate j/k

Good luck to the Steelers. I'd love to see the Bus get a ring in his last year, in his home town. He is from Detroit, right?
