Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Have been a sprint user for 2 years now and I am currently using the MM-7400. First phone was the 8100. Love my phone but I hate that I cannot get good coverage in my neighborhood (3 streets, including children's school to be exact). Hope to learn any tricks that anyone has to offer for my phone. Do you what T9 is? It is the best trick I have learned on my MM7400. I was new to texting and it makes texting go SO much faster.
The MM 7400 also has some cute frames for pictures under options for the camera

Did *2 on handset and accessed update. Was told that I would still have to take my phone into the store to get it updated there. Will do that today to see if that helps my reception. Added roaming to my plan and put my phone on automatic. Did not help at all. I live in Waxhaw, NC and I know that there are not many towers in my area. I might just be in bad shape with the coverage until tower coverage is extended (if that ever happens) in my area.

I live in Ballantyne and my phone works perfect in my house but go 1 mile down the road... and it goes to roaming or doesn't work at all. A friend lives there and she is finally giving up on Sprint. She can't get a signal at her house. I told her it must be her old phone and I took my phone over ( the extraordinary MM7400) and it wouldn't work either. Waxhaw is down the road and must be in that same hole her house is in. She is going to try a different carrier.
PRL updates only affect roaming. wont help sprint coverage any

Did your 7400 go into roaming there? If it didn't chances are there is no coverage their for any carrier, or very little coverage.

I have such a good signal in my home and it didn't go into roaming at her home..I just kept losing the signal..but a 1/2 mile from her home is a Wendy's and we can be that parking lot and sometimes my phone will go to roam and sometimes my phone works fine from there.

When I have my phone on automatic roaming, then there are spots in my neighborhood that my phone will go into digital roaming. Is there any chance that I will be able to access any other towers?
