Okay, it's been a while, but I know I used to be able to do this. I'd use the 11+area code+phone number code to get into a Sprint VM. Then I'd leave a message and (hit option 4, I believe) to request a receipt for when my message was listened to. I know this worked a couple of months back. Has something changed? I really wish I knew why I'm having trouble. :mad:

I, too, use that feature fairly regularly. I'll give it a try today and let you know if it's still available for me.

it's never worked for my using the 11 method. but works if i call my own voice mail and press 2 to send a message.

Ditto that. I alway use the call my own voicemail method. I just tried it and it worked fine.

Hmm...maybe I was mistaken and got two tricks confused as one really cool trick. I just tried it by calling my own VM and it worked just fine. Thanks.

The return receipt option is available only if you leave a Voicemail to Voicemail message (which is option 2 when you call into your VM).
However, it will not work if you have the 'system' caller ID block activated. If you're blocking your caller id, and still want to use the return receipt option, you have to call Cust Svc and have them turn it off so that your number shows.
If you still want your number to come up 'private' when making regular voice calls, then simple add *67 before each call. Hope that helped.

Couldn't you also just dial *82 before dialing to unblock your number for the one call...

No, the VM to VM system wont take a number with that many digits...I know, it's very odd.

I have a question...how can i call someone and immediately go to vml. I do not want to speak to the person but just leave a message. I know there is a trick...just don't remember it.
