I just got the LG PM-225 yesterday and overall I am VERY impressed. It rewrites the book for call clarity and reception as far as I'm concerned, but I have one tiny little complaint... I can't change the font color on the front LCD from blue to black!
Splitting hairs here I know. Anyway, I'm just wondering how good LG is at updating their phone SW and what types of updates they typically include. I know the phone is fairly new so can I expect to see any updates in the near future?

The PM-325 has already had 3 software updates. You should be on V19, now.
Nothing updated as far as you're concerned (with the text). For info on the other updates, search the site (thread titles) for V17,V18, and V19.

the 225 just had a new update... v09.
it is a hit-or-miss using the OTA method.
i was able to update my phone in two tries last week. today i was going to update my wife's phone, but have failed to do so after several attempts.
If you're having problems getting the phone to download the update or to even find the update available, try updating your vision profile. I've never had a problem with it once I did that. The only problems I've had with my PM-325 using FOTA was just getting it to actually download the update. I've never had any trouble getting the phone to install the update once it was downloaded.

having FOTA is great for adding small fixes to the software...and LG, for the most, has been very good with it, with all the new phones

there was no v9 for the 225 i think it went from v8 to v10 only.
