N90 display is gorgeous :-) . Nicer than any Samsung display.

6235's display is bad though, though better than most 128 x 128 pixel displays

I'm only comparing my experience to displays with 4096 colors.

N90 will be out for sale soon. How long do we have to wait for the Samsung 2.6" VGA phone? The point is Samsung may be inovative at many things but it's still in the experimental phase. I mean seriously when will I be able to walk into my local store and pick up the 102" Plasma?

tuolumne
09-04-2005, 01:50 AM
Samsung already has 3.5" VGAs in PDAs in Korea, so your point is moot.

Furthermore, didn't you notice that Samsung is the only manufacture producing every television technology? That they are now the largest televisison manufacture this year?

bluecoyote
09-05-2005, 05:27 PM
If Samsung's so innovative, how come they can't seem to bring that over here? How come the best display they give us over here gets the pants whipped off of it by a phone that came out almost 2 years before it?

OMG! A Broken Samsung hinge!

How the heck is that possible? I thought their plastics and build quality were above that of Sanyo, and only Sanyo hinges broke!

:hee:

And Tutu, the United States is NOT Korea/China/Japan/Europe. If it's not sold over here... don't mention it.

Wow... 300 dpi! That's incredible.

I'm in love with my 133dpi laptop display (1600x1200 UXGA 15")...

Its really funny... some people have screen size envy... but never understand about resolution and dpi.

bluecoyote
09-05-2005, 11:07 PM
What's funny is that Samsung can't build a regular laptop display without a crapload of dead pixels. :hee: Hell, the YPH-820 's screen is what... 96 x 64 or some low-ass amount and they can't get it right.

When you want high-end displays, you go to Toshiba or Sharp. (Maybe LGPhillips)

tuolumne
09-05-2005, 11:34 PM
Maybe you.

Samsung single handedly outclasses their competition with their new 7G line of LCDs that are developed at their brand new S-LCD (joint venture of Samsung/Sony utilizing Samsungs design processes and materials) facility in Seoul.

hmm Samsung only has DLP projection TV. Mitsubishi is the only company I know what has every display technology: CRT, LCD, DLP and LCOS projections, LCD, plasma flat screens.
Edit: Tu, take that Paris Hilton avatar off. I respect you more when you have a cellphone or an Asian chick holding a phone as your avatar.

Wrong. sorry.

Samsung has DLP, CRT, SlimFit CRT, LCD, Plasma.

In addition, Samsung is the largest producer of Televisions, by markit capital, worldwide.

What does that tell you?

cproaudio
09-07-2005, 03:20 AM
Samsung does not have LCD projections nor LCOS projection TVs. They only concentrate on DLP projections. I realize that they offer LCD TVs but not LCD projection TVs. SONY and Epson are LCD projection makers. JVC uses LCOS. Mitsubishi has all 3 and CRT.
Nice avatar BTW

You notice how LCD projection is a dead technology being replaced by DLP, don't you?

cproaudio
09-07-2005, 03:44 PM
No not really. LCD projection is actually very competitive to DLP. Just because Samsung doesnt support it doesnt mean it's dead. DLP has rainbow effects unless manufacturers charge consumers over $30,000 for a 3 chip DLP projector or $10,000 for a single chip DLP with 7 segment color wheel and 6X speed DLP will continue to have rainbow effect. It's very bothersom when you see a fast white object follow by a strip of red, blue and green moving across the screen on your brand new TV. LCD on the other hand doesnt have that effect. LCD just introduced the D5 panel 3LCD chip that has comparable contrast and less screendoor effect. JVC's LCOS is also improving too though I'm not an LCOS fan.

do LCD projectors burn in images?
