I just had a simple question for regular old *2 last night, and they said its only open like 8AM-2AM weekdays, and something else on SAt, and 9AM-9PM on sunday... Was that a mistake or have those always been the hours?

*2 has had hours similar to that for over a year. I know "consumer" and "business" *2 seems to have slightly different hours though.

As I posted above, the "trouble" dept is open 24/7 for issues on being able to connect to the network, vision & ready-link type issues. Questions of a less time sensitive nature though should be handled during "normal" business hours (example = crediting back charges placed in error on your bill.)

If you are on a retention plan they can give you a 15% discount and then a extra 5% discount. The coding is separate. If you aren't on a retention plan they can give you a 20% discount with just one code. They won't however be able to give you the 20% and a free AAP.

I was just on the line with retention...direct line is 866-571-0882

If you know what you are looking for in a retention plan, try using the 1-866-571-0882 number first. (*2 didnt get me anywhere) Thank you for posting that number!

Here is my plan:

2 lines on the account
800 mins fair and flexible nationwide plan
- free nights and weekends at 7pm!
- free domestic roaming!
- free 500SMS messages on each line!
- free pcs to pcs

The original price is 69.99, plus 20 for power vision on one line
They gave me 20% off!!!

compared to my previous plan, i am getting much more, and paying less!!!
BTW, i am going to radio shack tomorrow to buy my A900 for $150

Will the new 1500 minute plan work with shared usage across two lines?

I am also waiting for an answer on this one.

For anyone who got the 1500min/$49.99 retention plan, did you get a 2nd line?

If so, was AAP $20, $10 or free?

Also wondering if anyone got free powervision/text msg (appears to be a $15 add-on)?

First things first, whenever you deal with anybody (Sprint, Lockline, or anywhere else)... Be NICE to the person you deal with. If you don't get anywhere with that person, try back later and talk to a different person.

Ok, so it's time for a new contract since spending $95/month on 2 phones is retarded. So after writing down everything I want (from reading what everybody posted), I called retentions directly.

1st call: Really kick-back guy
Requested:
1000 or 1500 minute plan with add a phone
Keep all my current vision(which is the unlimited internet w/unlimited text)
Keep my free incoming minute
Keep my free PCS to PCS
Get 20% loyalty discount
Get 7PM start

What I was told/received:
1000 or 1500 min retention plan unavailable for add a phone
Got: 1200 minute shared plan (2nd line included) for $60/month
Get all of what I requested retained (actually put in for free for all!)
Got 7PM start
5% loyalty discount (says 20% or 15% not there... was a promo for December only)
2-yr contract
So I'm happy... $95 down to $65 ($5 for equip replacement) minus 5% (grr... I want 20% dammit)

A few days later, I see odd charges on the Sprint.com website (charges for internet, text messaging, etc)

I call back:
Rep: Don't worry, it's just showing up because that's the only way to code it. You will have matching discounts to make each charge zero.
Confirm the plan: Yep... $60 + $5 + $20 ... ***. $20 for 2nd line. I tell him that it was supposed to be free. He tells me there was never a plan like that. I ask him if he can contact the guy that did all that for me. He says nope and this is the plan I signed up for. I plead nicely several times and he doesn't budge (he also says the same thing about the 15% + 5% or 20% loyalty - it was a Dec promo). "If he wrote the details of your plan in the system, then I can give it to you." ROFL. Frustrated, I ask for the manager.

Manager: Says the same thing, does not budge. I explain to her very nicely that the whole purpose for me to sign up for a $60 plan was to reduce my bill, hence me even accepting the 2yr contract. VERY uncooperative and unwilling to make a similar offer. Finally, she mentions there is a $40 500-shared minute plan that does include 2
lines. Considering I only use about 300 daytime minutes anyway (this was even when my nights started at 8PM), I gladly accept. I make sure to repeat myself several times and ask for her to input it into my record and obtain her employee ID number too. So what did I end up with?

500 anytime on 2 lines
Vision picture pack (this one is the one with unlimited internet and text)
PCS to PCS
Incoming Minute
7PM start
5% loyalty
$40/month + $5 for equip replacement.
aaaaand.. the business department said they'll put in 10% discount for being a credit union member.

Of course, a couple days later, the Sprint.com website is updated and I see allllll these special option charges. ROFL. Waiting until the 1st to see my bill and find all my credits.

So... did anybody else get the 20% (either as a straight 20% or 15+5%) loyalty after Jan 1? Any comments to the deal I got?

Dan
01-12-2006, 10:43 PM
James2012 : Their is a shared 1000AT plan for $50/month and one for $60 that is 1200 minutes. AAP should be $10 or free (why anyone would pay sprint $20 when no other company is over 10 is beyond me!)

"Free" options such as 7pm nights are billed and credited back. The $5 charge will be offset on the bill with a $5 credit.

If your happy with your plan, GREAT! If now, you need to call and tell the rep you want to cancel the agreement and plan changes as they are not what you agreed to. If you were out of contract, I would say "I think I want to cancel everything. Apparently Sprint does not believe in following thru with the plan that is quoted over the phone." At that point you should be sent to cancelations (Retentions) for a offer to be made to keep you. I'd shoot for the plan you were quoted originally and a 10% loyalty discount for your aggrivation.

At any rate, INSURE that your vision is still listed as your being "charged" for vision and text messages now. If it is showing up as "Casual SMS" than your text message option was removed. Get it back asap!

Hey Dand411... The manager at retentions insisted that the 1000 and 1500 minute plans cannot be shared at all. I originally wanted the 1k shared plan because it would have been the same exact thing I've had in the first place but $15 less.

The only reason I even made a followup call was because I did see a "Casual SMS message" (1 msg) and I never saw it before. Here's a cut & paste of the "charges."

Unlimited SMS Text Messaging $15.00
Sprint PCS Vision Access Pack $10.00
Night & Weekend Minutes $5.00
Unlimited Sprint Mobile to Mobile Calling $5.00

FIMF is listed elsewhere w/o a charge.

Now mind you... they insisted that charges will show up and get credited each month. So I'll be ubber ticked if after all this, if they try to stick me with a 500 min plan and $35 in extra charges. Unfortunately, I won't be able to find out how the fruit of my labor turns out until the next billing cycle. (right?)

So in the end, if it actually pans out that I got what they promised, then yes, I'll stick with it (I've seen others here with 500 min retention plans and get 125-250 minutes each month more? How does that happen?). I can't at all complain about paying $45/month for 2 phones with the perks. But if you (or anyone else) can think of something else... =)

Now... only if I can swing that up to 20% loyalty discount then I'll be ubber happy. lol

The shared 1000 and 1200 plans do exist. Try emailing ecare and ask them. That is how I switched, in December, from my previous 1000 minute plan to the $60.00 1200 minute plan.

I am loyal customer, I don't abuse the system much but for some reason when I call the rentention dept there is not much they can do. I know I have a sweet plan, but I like to test the waters every now and then to see what they will offer me. Its appears to be plain luck on how some people get certain plans. Is there anything else I can do to get better results. The # I have used in the past was 800-658-7564, but now when I call I get transfered to business accounts dept.

My retention offered during Christmas weekend:

Sprint Fair & Flexible Plan

* $39.99 Monthly Charge
* AMERICA - ROAMING Included
* Nationwide Long Distance Included
* Unlimited Night & Weekend Mins. Included
* Nights: M-Th 7PM-7AM Wknd: F 7PM-M 7AM
* Unlimited Power Vision Access
* Unlimited Mobile to Mobile

And free Samsung A900, they gave me $417 in service credit to pay for the phone.

Been a Sprint customer for 2.5 years, out of contract for 6 months. Was gonna switch to T-mobiler, told them I want to cancel. They patch me to retentions after 2 calls, 4 hours later, they offered me the above. Basically I got the SERO plan at 20% off but no picture mail or text message, got the free A900 cause I told them T-mobile is giving away Razr, after 30mins hold for the CSR to talk to a manager he agreed to it.

I've been seeing Sero, but I don't know what it is... can someone explain it to me? I've done a search, but I've found that the search technology on this site isn't the greatest.

Is there anyway to upgrade the search engine used here in the forums?

Anyway, back on topic... what is SERO??

From what I understand it's a referral from an employee... what does the acronym stand for...

And what kind of plan can you get with it? Do discounts stack on that as well?

Apparently they applied a credit to his account to give him the phone for free. If your charged for the phone though they take CC information and apply the payment to your account and it shows up the same way. I'd love to believe that sprint just decided to give a long term customer a phone free but i have a feeling it will not work out that way in the end!

As opposed to posting 2 times one minute apart, you should be able to edit your 1st post!

SERO is "sprint employee referal offer" or similar and its basically a specially priced fair and flex plan with free mobile to mobile and free vision (or power vision) attached to it.

The plans are only for NEW customers or customers adding a line of service on its own plan. The vase SERO plan is $30/month and includes 500AT with overages of $5 per 50 minute bucket. It included vision / powervision with picturemail and does NOT include text messages unless you get a rep who finds that code for "free SERO text messaging!"

As the plans are for new customers only, an existing customer would most likely have to pay the ETF to get a SERO plan if they are under contract on the old plan. For some people it amy pay for itself in less than a year!

Lastly, you have to get a sprint employee to refer you to a SERO plan! Sprint has called a few people apparently to ask who they got their SERO referal from and they may cancel accounts if they find a pattern of fraud.

dand411 is wrong on this one.

For SERO details visit http://www.sprint.com/sero/ Type in whatever@sprintpcs.com as an email address.

I recently SWITCHED to the $30/month SERO plan - NO new line, NO referral. I emailed ecare and asked for the plan - done.

I also have a 25% NVP (business) discount. I specifically asked that it be applied to the new plan and it was confirmed ($22.50/month).

Wrong? No im correct but some one did something they are not supposed to do. That eCare gave you something they were not supposed to does not make my post wrong! Perhaps the eCare rep gave you one of his or her referals! The business discount is not supposed to be combined with SERO, though that doesnt mean it never happens. If the system removes the discount in the future i'd not complain too much!

Yeah you work for sprint and you cant get that plan! It seems people are having all sorts of things just thrown at them recently! Free A9XX series phones by bill credit! SERO plans with no referal and a 25% discount applied to it also! Its a wonder sprint can stay in business!!!!!!!

Good for them if they actually get what they are expecting! Too many members have had a horrible experience lately with sprint reps deciding to flag accounts for "fraud" because they asked for a plan that "doesn't exist!"

Im here to spread truth.......... if a member gets something that is not supposed to happen and posts the information is wrong because he lucked out then eCare is going to be over-run with emails asking for a SERO $30 plan with no referal and large business discount on top of it!

Wow that's a pretty nice plan if you are paying $40-$10(25%)-$5= $25/month for:

-1000 anytime
-u n/w@8pm
-free long d

I doubt they will offer you vision for a $25 plan, but it never hurts to try =D But then again they didn't have to shell out $$$'s to give you a phone, so you never know. Also is this a 2 year contract? If so you might get vision or SMS text, since 2 year is $150 credit on phone already.

Except it will most likely be more like $40-$5=$35-25%=$26.25/month. It's a small difference, but a difference nonetheless.

They will take the credit off the bill before they apply the 25 percent discount.

I email E-care and he offer me $50 for 1000 mins plus Sprint PCS Vision for free and I agree for 2 years contract. I email him back and confirm that I agree for 2 years renew contract. My old plan is $85 2000 mins with Sprint PCS Vision Pictures Pack for free. I ask him can I have the Sprint PCS Vision Pictures Pack instead the new PCS Vision. He email me back and stated that the old Sprint PCS Vision Pictures Pack no longer exist and he does not have a code for that.

My current plan:

$40 free & clear
1000 anytime minutes
unlimited n/w @8pm
unlimited m/m
50 roaming minutes

now...when I originally called, I was told that I was also supposed to have free unlimited vision pack with 100 text messages. I've been charged for vision use and text messages every since. I've tried calling back and getting people to work with me, hell all I really need are the text messages, as my vision is still the grandfathered .002 per kb plan, but still, when you're promised something, you expect it.

Also...how are you guys getting them to work with you on the price of the A900? I've also thought about switching to t-mo or cingular for that razr phone, but i'd love to have the A900, just not at 200 bucks.

Serioiusly considered trying to get that deal for myself. But after you add fees for text messages, you are no better off than under the old $85/2000 and $100/2000 F&C plans - and perhaps worse off if you don't get those % discounts on your base plan.

so thats $150(2yr customer) + $50(bcoz i was nice to her)= $200 credit towards my new phone. i guess i have to come up with $100 for the a920. no complains i guess. :tu:

Renewed my old Free & Clear Plan for 2 more years and was offered a 15% loyalty discount, free nights starting at 7 p.m., and free roaming. The 15% discount is addition to a 25% corporate discount for a total discount of 40% off my monthly bill.

Details of my plan in the above post are:

$100 for 2000 anytime minutes shared between 5 lines.

Line 1: Free PCS Vision Picture Pack (grandfathered)
Line 2: Free PCS Vision Picture Pack (grandfathered); free AAP (grandfathered)
Line 3: $5 PCS Vision Picture Pack & $10 AAP
Line 4: $10 AAP
Line 5: $10 AAP

Total $135 less 40% discount = $82 before taxes.

The CSR was very cordial and offered me the 15% loyalty discount with no negotiating. He also offered the free nights starting at 7 p.m. and free roaming as a sweetener for renewing.

Also, got three Samsung A840 free at the Sprint store ($220 retail price less $20 store discount less $150 upgrade discount less $50 trade-in on old Samsung VGA1000 and Sanyo 8100 phones).

Bahhhhh, I just called to try my luck with a better plan and got the most uncaring rep in the world!!!! She pretty much backed me into a corner and forced me to disconnect my account effective fed 4th :|. I didnt feel like getting into it with her soo I hung up the phone and banged my head on the desk.

Initially the plan offered to me was

1500 Minutes 60.00
AAP 10
AAP 10
7Pm Weekend and Nights 5
PCS 2 PCS
No roaming
Power Vision 1st Phone 10
2nd Phone 5
3rd Phone 5

Total = 105.00 For 3 phones, with vision and 1500 minutes.

Is there any way I can go better? I need over 1000 minutes and I have to have 3 phones on the account.

Would love to hear from you guys.

If it is nationwide as opposed to area wide its a good plan. Most people work for a company that gives a business discount with sprint so getting that added after the plan change goes into effect would help you even more so!

Retention is basically the Cancellation Department Representives. The Customer Service Rep. will send you to Retention if you want to cancel your service. The Retention folks can make you offers to try and keep you as a customer that the CSR's cannot.

Right now my plan looks like this

$40 F&C 500 At
$15 Vision with Picture Mail
$5 unlimited SMS
$5 N&W @ 7
$5 PCS to PCS

so after taxes and other fee I pay around $80 a month

K now I spoke with retentions today and they offered me this

$40 F&C 1000 AT with NW @ 8
$0 PCS to PCS
and %15 monthly discount
so along with the $20 vision and sms

The base plan would come out to $51 before taxes so probably $60 after taxes and fees.

Would it be too greedy to ask to get the SMS waived or maybe NW @ 6 or maybe a roaming option.

I have also been seeing around the forum that users with Power Vision phones undering regular Vision plans are getting charged for EVDO usage :ohcrap:

So this puts me in weird spot. Should I enroll into a PV plan and try to negotiate a reasonable price for unlimited SMS, which I don't want pay $15 for ($30 for PV with Unlimited SMS. ) Or keep the regular Vision with unlimited text which comes out to $20 overall

Thanks Jon

My retention offered during Christmas weekend:

Sprint Fair & Flexible Plan

* 1250 Adjustable Anytime Minutes
* $39.99 Monthly Charge
* AMERICA - ROAMING Included
* Nationwide Long Distance Included
* Unlimited Night & Weekend Mins. Included
* Nights: M-Th 7PM-7AM Wknd: F 7PM-M 7AM
* Unlimited Power Vision Access
* Unlimited Mobile to Mobile
* Caller ID, Call Waiting
* Three-way Calling
* Voicemail

:scare: :scare: :scare: Out of every thread and post I've read, I must say this offer is the best. Now if you can get an employer discount on there, I'd say that plan is unbeatable. Not really a great plan . .as everyone else listed here, but I'm pleased with it: (2 lines)

800 min ($5.00 for every 100 minutes go over . .not the 50 mins they now have) $69.99
N/W @ 5pm $10.00
Unlimited Web (both lines) $0.00
Text Messaging (100 messages) $7.50
= $69.34 before taxes ( I've got a 15% discount + a $5.00 credit each month for 2 years)

Great info re: retention strategy. I have been a Sprint customer since 1998 when I worked at the Shack. My current contract has expired, but I don't use a lot of minutes. I want to get an earlier night time start such as 7pm. I have been looking at phones and plans for months, but I find it hard to pull the trigger. A plan such as lotj1 has looks great.
However, I don't need web access or a vision plan. Basic service and occasional LD with 7pm start would be just fine. I have had this phone for 3.5 years I think. I would like a smaller profile flip, to make any change worth it.

Any thoughts or comments?

Get the 400 Fair and Flexible plan, it's just 99 cents more than your plan now, and you get 100 extra minutes. They will more than likely also allow N&W @ 7PM and free Sprint to Sprint minutes.

Under the F&F plan, if you go over your minutes, you get an additional 50 minutes for $5 instead of 40 cents a minute. It also includes free long distance and free roaming.

You might think about getting an SMS plan because they are very useful. Otherwise you can still send and receive them at 10 cents apiece, incoming or outgoing.

Oh, and be sure to ask for a loyalty discount when you resign your agreement.

Be sure to check out your bill in a couple of cycles when all the charges show up. AND.. don't call retentions or cust care again. When I was promised free AAP, subsequent people said that I was being charged and free AAP never existed. To add a swift kick to the crotch, they put in notes to say I lied about there being a free AAP. I wish my experience was kick-ass as yours. When you email E-Care, you must log-on your online account and contact E-Care from you account. Because everytime you send email when you log-on from your on-line, the system alway created the new ID#, and most of the time, the new E-Care reply you back. So log-on into your online account and email E-care from online account until you get the plan you want.

free mobile to mobile
for 49.99 and maybe 15% discount (one rep said yes, another said no can do)

I've been with Sprint 7+ years. Finally decided to get a really good plan like in these forums. I called the 'direct to retention' number. I got some guy that LIED about everthing he gave me. First off I asked are you in retentions? He lied and said yes. I waited for my bill and everything the bastard added was CHARGED for. I had to call back, talk to a customer rep that tried and did fix a few things, then the cs forwarded me on to a REAL retention rep that tried to give me what I originally thought I asked for and got from the lying bastard. I still don't have as sweet a deal as most of you all have and I have learned the #1 rule:
1 Get it in WRITING (email) from the Ecare reps! :deal:
2 Don't waste your time with any other :cough: reps that can't find the 'codes' when they're there.
BTW my sucky plan: $50/1000 shared, they wanted $10 for the AAP, then 'fixed' it
8pm nights, I had 7PM before, why not 6PM or 5PM (Hear it's being test marketed)
NO FIMF, they said couldn't find it, yea right...
Grandfatherd $10 vision w/pic, 100SMS, $5 credit. I have paid for this for years.
500SMS on second phone, why not unlimited?
M2M both phones, big deal
NO roaming, this was included at first, for $5 each phone =$10, just dropped for now
5% loyalty, which the last rep said 'can't up to 10%, try next month' what a load
And the thing I missed, along with the reps, ANY vision on the second phone. :irked:
This is for 2 out of 3 phones I have. The other plan is an $130/unlimited anytime and SMS. So my bill is in the $200/month range, and should carry some weight. I'm playing by rule 1 & 2 now. :bang: (liars)

i was told on monday that reps are now being terminated for giving out the free nights @7. he said they just send out an internal memo about it. that offer is supposed to only be given to those renewing their contracts under certain circumstances. those of you who have it should feel lucky. he told me, it's right here, i can put it on your account but it will be removed automaticly and the rep and the account will be flagged for investigation.

I have an old 1000 a/t, 3000 n/w 8pm for $50. Everytime I call CS, they offer me the 6pm with un/l n/w for the same amount that I am paying right now. I always turn them down. They always ask me why turn down a great offer. There is nothing that is going to get me stuck with another contract.

I just called and got free nights and weekends at 7. Hopefully it wont cause a problem. I held out for awhile and he just volunteered it and made notes on the account. We'll see what happens. heres what I got:

1500 Anytime
500 Free text
U/L N&W at 7
PCS to PCS
$250 off the A900
49.99/month

I think this is a good plan. Hopefully the n/w at 7 is legit.

I have been out of contract for a while and wanted to add some lines. So on Monday I decided to take the plunge and call retention.

I reached a lady who seemed to know what she was doing and checked on a few things and we agreed on the following:

$50 plan
1000 AT minutes
1 additional line w/ free LG 225 phone
7pm nites
grandfather my bonus 150 AT minutes (primary line only)
FIMF
PCS to PCS
Vision w/ Picture mail for $15 - $10 credit = $5
Roaming $5
24 month agreement

Extras:
$10 1 additional line (line 3) w/ free LG 225 phone
Vision and Picture mail free on additional 2 lines
Roaming free on additional 2 lines

I didn't see the changes reflected on my account on the web.

On Tuesday and also today I called back to doublecheck. They lied to me!

Here are the catches:
- Picture mail (+$15) cannot be combined with a (-$10) credit
- The 2 sub lines cannot share the roaming nor the FIMF.

From this previous posting I see that there is a 1500 min plan for $50.

I still have another account out of contract which I may want to fold into this account but are not touching it until I see that I get what we agree to.

Any advice?

The roaming should work across all lines and the FIMF should as well (provided she knows what she is doing). I would call back and have them add the roaming across the sub lines. I have it on my account and it is setup that way, and the FIMF has been added to both of my lines.

Can you get retention packages through eCare?

How do you get loyalty discounts?

When do you provide the corporate discount and what info is needed?

all for 60 bucks

Congrats, persistance pays off. Just Ecare every couple days or so. :comp_surf
:Poke: Ecare
As for CS getting in trouble for doing too much, like 7pm 6pm nights, their higher ups in retentions and Ecare reps know more of what they can push for ya. CS was probally giving away 6pm nights too much, cause EVERY time someone called a CS would ask 'Would ya like 6pm nights for free'. Bet next time some of my friends call CS they'll tone it down.
Sotiru: Ecare has ALL the plans, their like above retentions (which is usually verbal, not as good as written :deal: )
kre62: Good plan, err did you get (power)vision?
5pm nights is a test market situation as far as I know, good thing I'm in two competative markets. :D

Sorry to hear about the "lie"... It's something I went through many times. Each and every time you call, you WILL be told something different. Not everybody in the department evidently knows of every possible option available. If they do, they do lie and say it doesn't exist because they just simply don't want to give it to you. The thing to keep an eye out for are:

additional line... There will likely be a higher charge (even if they say it's free or $10 additional) I was told numerous times that it will be free and then be told by the next rep that there is no such thing and that I'm lying

any of the "freebies"... they charge you for the service but is supposed to be credited back, so that it works out to be free. But... this month, I got hit with a $341 phone bill. Why?

The 1500 minute plan you're talking about will likely be an unshared plan (meaning you can't do add-a-phone).

My situation:

1: Addition of a corporate discount reset my plan bill date. For this, they charged me an early termination fee $150. I got this taken care of.

2: I upgraded a phone for the 2-year time. The store rep never told me there's a new $36 upgrade fee (Which itself is STUPID... what kinda f'ed up thing is that?!? So instead of a $150 instant rebate, it's more like a $114). I got this taken care of.

So my balance is $140~... $24 proration partial month. So not counting that it's like $115~ remaining.

My plan:
$50/1000 shared plan
$20 AAP (This I'm bitter about because I was told numerous times it would be free... and I see others on here getting 2-3 additional lines for FREE and STILL pay less than me)
$10 Vision ($10 credit)
$15 Unlimited text ($15 credit)
$5 PCS-PCS ($5 credit, don't know why they're even charging this one since it was always free before)
$5 7PM ($5 credit)
$5 & $6 insurance for both lines
So it SHOULD be $81+tax/month
Minus my 5% loyalty discount & 17% corporate discount should bring it down even further.

So... How do I end up with over $120 monthly bill?

Likely... cuz I never got the supposed credits. So whenever you talk to retentions, be sure to double-check your next bill and don't be surprised if something really whacky happens. I was on the phone with a rep and went over the charges and she couldn't explain to me where the extra $50-60 in charges is coming from. Her explanation was that I was credited everything I was owed and the rest are taxes. $50-60 in taxes?!?

Well, I just signed a 10 month extention (ie Im only 10 months into my 2yr and resigned for 2yrs).

Old Plan:
$50 - 700 Anytime minutes (always use about 1000 - 1100)
Free N&W at 7pm
$50 + $30 in overage = $80 - 23% = $61.60

NEW PLAN:
1500 anytime minutes
Free N&W start at 7pm
Free PCS -PCS
49.99 - 23% = $38.49

Since this plan will save me about $25 a month - If I keep it for 6 months, I will have saved $150.00 - which can buy me out of a contract if needed (but I don't forsee that).
Plus I get to keep my $10 vision with the $5 credit. The only donwside is that overage minutes are not sold in buckets - it's a strait .40 per minute - so for those of you offered the 1500 49.99 plan be sure to ask about this.

I feel a little better about going into the last two months of my contract. It ends in April 2006, so I'll see what I'll be able to get. If they would offer me free nights and weekends at 7pm, I would be sold! That would save me $15 on my plan. Video mail wouldn't hurt either. Thanks for this thread!

Then you'd be sold very quickly. They'll just want another 2-yr contract out of you.

I was offered the following earlier today. I went through the normal spiel about how my brother has a corporate account and I was being offered 1500 anytime minutes, along with a very similar plan to what I have through Cingular. Here's what I had and what I was offered....

Old Plan: $50.00 1000 AT minutes, free nights and weekends starting at 7pm(+5 dollars), Unlimited Text messaging(+5 dollars), Insurance(6.00), free mobile to mobile(sprint)

New Plan:$50.00 1500 AT minutes (WITH ROAMING), free nights and weekends starting at 7pm(+5 dollars), Unlimited Text messaging(+5 dollars), Insurance(6.00), free mobile to mobile(sprint)

The key for me here is if EVER I go over my minutes, it's by a small magnitude, like 40-100 minutes, so it's nice to have an extra 500 to play with. In addition, I really truly only roam less than 1-2 percent of the time, but it's nice to have it there when you need it. In addition, I HATE it when I'm traveling and I roam by accident so a call doesn't drop, so now I dont have to worry about it. This plan includes up to 50 percent roaming(of which I'll be lucky to ever use 2 percent of that)

I had to do some swindling to get this plan, apparently the 'FREE ROAM' option was offered since I have been a sprint customer for over 6 years, otherwise expect this same plan, minus the bonus roam option.

YAAAAY! --snowdizx

I stayed in Sprint since 2002 and is just out of contract now.
My current retention plan is $30/300minutes+180 bonus, 8pm, 50minutes roaming, nothing else

I called Sprint today and got this offer:
$90/1500 minutes shared in 3 lines
2 yr contract
2 new phones
6PM
Unlimited SMS
PCS Vision
Unlimited Roaming
PCS to PCS

Above features are for all 3 phones

I asked for FIFM but the CSR said he cannot give it to me.

Can anyone tell me if I should ask for unlimited picture mail or it have been included in the " pcs vision". I forgot to ask the CSR about this.

Many thanks!

It will likely be the cheapest vision, which doesn't have pics/video. For 90/month, it's an excellent plan considering you get all the goodies on all the phones. Keep in mind that the company that you work for may also be eligible for a business discount, which would help bring the monthly bill down even more. As for the FIMF, unless it's retentions (or whatever they call it now), they won't be able to do it for you. Maybe they got rid of the codes altogether?

I just signed a two year contract and got 6pm N&W and unlimited PCS to PCS added to my account, so my plan now looks like this:

300 Anytime
180 retention
U/L N&W at 6
PCS to PCS
$15 power vision
$30.00/month
25% discount

I got a business account and my bill comes to around $38.5/month :headbang2

Yay... thank you Paul from eCare. I finally got in writing (what I've always wanted in order to avoid the headaches I've had thus far) exactly what I have on my plan and how much I should be paying. Excellent... So after all that and finally getting eCare to wrap it all up in a nice tidy bow:

$50 1000 minute shareable plan
$20 2nd line (he said that my retention plan is stuck this way but should I opt to swap to the fair & flexible, it's an option to add a 3rd+ line for $10... or whatever other plan, but still keep all my other stuff)
$10 vision (credit of $10 to make it free every month)
$5 7PM (credit of $5 to make it free every month)
$8 Unlimited SMS (he said that the free SMS option isn't avail like I was told previously... so he reduced the $15 to $8 then stacked on a 10% loyalty to save me an overall $7ish to make it about $1 for unlimited SMS)
FIMF
PCS-PCS
Equip protection $5 on first line, $6 on second

Grand total: $89
Minus 10% from the SMS snaffu
Minus 18% company discount

Am I satisfied? Oh you betcha. I understand that this or that might be misinformation from rep to customer, but at least he provided a method of trying to resolve the problem with a solution. To boot, the tone in the email was extremely courteous, making me feel valued. Ok.. stepping off my soap box. :)

Oh... is it just me or are the reps becoming harder and harder to understand on the phone? Outsourced to India too?

Adjustment on my new plan. Niklaus maybe you can verify this. Called back to customer service to take off my $10 vision fee. The gentleman in N.C. call center said there wasn't a 1 year agreement with 100 free texts. He said he could give me free picture pack vision which has 100 free texts and unlimited web access if I sign a 1 year contract which I did. So know this is my official plan since he sent me to confirmation and the previous lady didn't.

1500 anytime minutes - $49.99
PCS to PCS
Vision picture pack - free
100 free texts
unlimited web access
unlimited night and weekends starting at 8pm

Called Sprint to really cancel my service cuz of the ordeal I went through with my horrilble A900 update and wasting my time at the store and on the phone and finally being told that I needed to pay to get my phone replaced.

My old plan:
$35
500 Anytime
500 Mobile to Mobile
Nites at 9:00..

New Plan:
$50
1000 Anytime
500 mobile to mobile
500 Text Messaging
Nites at 6:00 PM
Plus the regular stuff
and 10% off the total bill..

I was pretty happy and took their offer....

Hi,

I just renew my contract this is what i got.

750 minutes (+$40)
7pm + weekend (+0)
M2M (+0)
Second Line (+0)
15% Loyality Discount
24% Employee Discount

Total want i am paying for will be like 24.40 + taxes :)

Not bad for two lines.

This is what i have before.
750 minutes (+$40)
7pm + weekend (+$5)
M2M (+0)
Second Line (+$20)
5% Loyality Discount
total before = 76.00 with taxes

Didn't want to be too greedy to ask more :) for 24.40 for 750 and 2nd line is great :)

is it a 2yr contract? i'm gonna try that again... i called once to see if they can get me the 2nd line for free, but she said no go... and she couldn't combine the 15% loyalty discount with that plan either (i currently have 5%) but she said she can offer me 7pm nights for free, but require me to sign a 2 year... so i told her no thanks!

Are you talking to retentions? Yes, the $60/1200 minute plan does exist and you can add additional lines (anywhere from $0 to $20 per line, depending on how lucky you are). If you don't use more than 1000 minutes/month, I recommend the $50/1000 minute plan instead, which is the one I have. If you're the only line and don't plan on adding additional lines, then there is a $40/1000 minute plan that cannot be shared.

If you actually use 1500 minutes.. and both lines are $75, then yes. Good deal. I'm currently paying $50 for 1000 minutes and an additional $20 for the 2nd line... so considering you're only paying $5 more than what I am for an additional 500 mins. Yep.

I was offered $75/1500 ATM. My vision pack would stay the same though, unlimited pictures, video, text and ReadyLink. This is for two phones. Is this a good deal? Any comments?

It's the rep you are talking to, a rep named Chad offered me that $60/1200 plan, it does exist. I don't have it, but it does, so ask to speak to him. I kept my current plan at $85/2000 ATM with unlimited everything for two phones, couldn't really get a better option, but I finally don't pay for nights and weekends at 7pm now.

I finally got what I was looking for via retention. I got the 1200 minutes for 67.99 for 3 lines. My Sprint Advantage Agreement was ending next month and I have been a customer since 2000. Sprint does value its customers, sometimes it just takes the right reps. We will see if everything is ok my next billing cycle.

I have a plan right now--

2500 minutes @ $100 per month

3 lines (no add a phone charges)
nights/weekends @ 6pm
free vision/text/picture mail on all accounts

then we get a 23% business discount..

I was told when we resigned that we may be able to get another 15% off of the plan from the retention dept.. (is this possible yet)..are supposed to call me next week (something about the codes not working together yet)

I got a new job where we get 25% off on business accounts, would it be a hassle to change?

any advice would be appriciated..

I was initially on an old F&C plan with $85/2000 minutes with free unlimited everything (Vision, PictureMail, VideoMail, ReadyLink, AAP, and U/L texting), but I had to pay for nights and weekends starting at 9pm and then, nights and weekends starting at 7pm.

I was first offered at $75/1500 ATM with free nights and weekends starting at 7pm, free M2M and the same Vision Plan I currently have. This would be for two phones also.

I called back to confirm the plan and was told that I would not keep the same Vision plan, nor ReadyLink and only 500 text messages instead. Of course, I was livid.

I went back to the $85/2000 minute plan, but received a code for free nights and weekends starting at 7pm, received 50% off my next recurring charges, and a $150 credit for my PPC-6700. The free nights and weekends would save me $15 per month, but I didn't think that was enough. I pressed for a small increase in my customer loyalty discount and was told because I received a 24% NVP, that this was impossible.

I emailed eCare and asked for 10%, instead of 10%, I received 15%! So now, here is the new plan:

$85 - 2000 Anytime Minutes, free M2M, free nights and weekends starting at 7pm, free ReadyLink on one phone, unlimited Picture Mail and Video Mail, and unlimited texting. On top of all those goodies, I receive a 24% NVP and a 15% Customer Loyalty Discount. $51.85 before taxes.

The moral of all of this, use eCare!

I tried my best for nights and weekends at 6pm. I never go over my minutes at all, but nights and weekends at 6pm would give me a reason to never call Sprint again about an issue.

First time poster--just wanted to share my thanks for all the information contained in these forums. I was nearing the end of my last 2-year agreement, so called Sprint's retention number directly at 866 571 0882 to see what I could get. I tried to get Sero, but the nice lady on the phone checked it out and said it would require me to change my phone number, plus I would need the employee I knew to go to their website to refer me. Seemed like a lot of hassle, and she offered to check out other options that fit close to the Sero 500 AT plan.

Ended up with 1000 AT for $40, with $15 EVDO plan, plus 7 PM N/W, all discounted by 20%. So all in all, not that much more than I currently pay, for double the minutes and web access for the a920/a900 I'm picking up tonight.

Chieftain.....

Does your 1000 AT plan include free mobile to mobile and roaming? Did they include the 7PM for free? Also, is the 20% a business discount or courtesy discount?

I'm just wondering. They Offered me a SERO plan and I choose the 500 min option and just wanting to compare it to what they offered you.

Thanks,
Jamie

Hi all...

Retention gave me a plan last week that I shared with you guys
1200 minutes shared with another phone, m-m free, N/W: 7 pm: total $60. Paid $150 for a900 phone. 2 yr agreement signed.

I get a corp discount of 25% on my monthly bill.
This morning I sent an email to eCare asking if they can give me 100 sms/text messaging for free... and they replied me back saying they would not be able to do so but would give additional 15% discount on my monthly bill for 2 years (until agreement is over).

Now, I am confused... it was an email so could not talk to them personally... will they take off my 25% and instead give 15% or add them both??

Anyone getting additional discount added to their existing corp discount??? I mean are these discounts (total of 40% in my case) stackable????

BTW, I have been with sprint for 6 years...

Thanks!!

If you are corporate if they switch on you just say put your corp discount back, especially since you said they said it was additional. From what I have seen getting loyalty after you have a gigantic corporate discount is rare but has happen a few times recently, so they may really like you!!!! :)
