is the free roaming on f/f new? i asked if i could also have free roaming on my f/clear, she said no.

free roaming is including on the f/f but not the f/c, that is correct. you can still purchase it as a buy up for the f/c plans though.

I'm such a brat, i don't even *use* roaming. i live in nyc, and don't even leave manhattan, so i never need to use roaming. :D. i'm silly.

I don't use roaming, either, but Sprint is a company, and my goal is to get everything I can out of any company that I get any type of service from.

Yup, this is my current mission right now hehehe... trying to find that roaming for free... it only makes sense that free roaming be added because roaming is included with all the new plans...

I know of some people that got free roaming, but I tried a few times, and couldn't get it. Free roaming would be great, but I am too cheap to pay $5/mo for something that I would rarely use.

Its hard to get free roaming from "regular CS" when you have FIMF or free 7pm nights. I had no luck, but it really didnt matter to me as I was willing to pay the extra $5 to go from free 7pm and paid roaming to $10 6pm and free roaming......

there is no free roaming on the F&C plans...it is a $5 add-on...free roaming was added into the new F&F plans post merger, but it is probably built into the plan price anyway...I have an old F&C plan and pay $5 a month for roaming...no way around it...and believe me, I tried...

Yeah, i've tried and I can't seem to get it for free... the best thing that they offered me was 5% off MRC... I couldn't get it no matter what department I tried... Oh well, 5% is better than nothing...

it is really hard to get free roaming when you have other services for free. i have tried again and again but nothing. so i guess i will so trying. anyway i don't mind paying the $5 since i use about 1500 roaming minutes a month anyway.

Its available, hence me having it. It's a retention "z" code that has to be applied and will clash with some other free codes that are older codes. I didnt mind giving up free 7pm nights and getting free roaming. emails to ecare have confirmed its free.

I called last night. Went from the plan you see in my signature, that I paid $5.00 a month for roaming to the following:
F/F 400 AT-$34.99
Roaming- $0.00 (Now included in the post-merger F/F plans from what the rep said)
PCS2PCS- $0.00 (Had that previous to the merger/my plan change so I got to keep it)
Unlimited N+W@ 7pm-$0.00 (Costs $5.00 still, but, I have a recurring $5.00/month credit until July 3, 2007 for this particular feature)
Unlimited Text- $5.00 (Also had this previous to the merger/my plan change, got to keep it)
Vision Pics Pack- $10.00 (Had prev to merger/plan change, got to keep it)
Total Equipment Protection- $5.00 (Again, had prev. to merger/plan change, got to keep it)
13% employer discount
I also got a $25.00 instant credit for this billing period (9/18/05-10/19/05) due to the problems with the hurricane, and 50% off my next bill, without even really asking for it!!
The rep said there was no contract extension required, I even asked her three times to make sure. I wanted to make sure I could keep all my extras the way they are, and she said that was fine as well. I will be checking on the changes at my bill cycle date to make sure stuff gets changed the right way, but, if it does...I'd say it was a great deal. Good rep in Central Florida FYI. For the OP, it seems that with the new F/F plans, roaming is automatically included as per the rep and my rate plan change from yesterday. H.T.H.

I emailed ecare and they pulled it off. GRANTED, it is only for ONE year. I plan on calling back in a year and seeing if that can be fixed ;). My free 7pm n/w expires in 2 years but who knows what kind of good stuff will be out then!
I love Sprint :). I only wanted two things in addition to my current plan, free 7pm n/w and free roaming in which they took care of!
Now if only I could get another percentage discount (via credit union or loyalty) added to m y 15% employer discount thatd be the best.

I just changed my plan last weekend. I had the the old F/C plan. Now I have the F/F Family Plan with 800 AT, free 7 pm n/w, free roaming, free mobil to mobil, Nationwide Long Distance included. I do enjoy the mobil to mobil feature.
