Has anyone heard any rumors/speculation on whether or not the 4930 will include Bluetooth? I think if it did it would be an ideal phone for me!

Hopefully with improved earpiece, since that doesn't require re-approval, but we'll see.

No chance, not even a slim one of BT?

Though I want a camera, I could live without it. For me the deal breaker is no BT.

Could care less about a camera. I love my 4900, and if it had a faster proc (which the 4920 has) and BT, it would be perfect.
Is there a fcc page on the 4930?

BTW for anyone wondering, and I did not do any research on this on here, but the 4930 is not due to come out until mid october 2005. Have not seen any specs yet. I'm a Tech at a store and they send me all the e-mails on which handsets and such are ending their life with sprint and which ones have been discontinued and which ones will be coming out and when.

The RL2000 wasn't too rugged. I owned that phone and loved it. If it had true SMS & better color depth, I'd still own it.

Will it have EV-DO?

Whywould something in the 4900 family have EVDO? I don't see this happening at all. it just makes sense for it not to have it.

That all depends on wether or not the 4920 will be discontinued. From what I heard its not supposed to be too rugged. The 7400 wasn't too rugged so I expect something like that. The 7200 was definitely too rugged with that hideous oversized blue rubber trim. It was basically a 4900 with a blue condom on.

No don't expect it to be that rugged or as ugly as the 7200. Information should be revealed soon for this phone as it is expected in October I believe or maybe November.

I don't know how many times I have to tell y'all ( and my family for that matter ). The RL7200 was not ugly!!
If the 4930 is due out in October, shouldn't there be listings on the FCC site for it? I just did a search, and didn't see any new Sanyo phones listed there.

I'm sorry you are right......Ugly is an understatement.
As we have seen with current Sanyo's Sprint has waiting last minute, usually days before launch to post any information regarding the phone, including FCC site. Sometimes we see a Press Release (if the phone is imoprtant or innovative enough) for the phone days before it is available. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the same for the 4930.

Perhaps it's moved from being so ugly, that it's kind of beautiful in a weird way.

I agree with you! I love my 4920, it's a most excellent phone. For me a phone with a camera is a deal breaker. I work in a hospital and due to HIPAA regulations, a camera with wireless connectivity is a big no-no.
