I was reading a thread were someone stated they were getting tired of all the integration hiccups or something like that on hofo and was wondering this, when Sprint buys up all the affiliates like they are doing right now, will those customers experience the 'hiccups' that customers experience when a cingular and at&t merge or will this be more seamless. It seems that those customers are already in the billing systom, on the same plans (for the most part), and use the same equipment at the same stores, but they are two totally different companies even if the customer doesn't know it. For the most part i don't think the customers will notice, but when i started to think about it i didn't know for sure, what do you guys think......?

I think for affilates it wouldnt matter, as the billing systems are the same

Affiliates handle the network infrastructure, local area stores, Sprint handles the billing and national marketing so you will not see the ATT / Cingular snafu from a sprint 'affiliate' versus corporate customer.

I'm new to Sprint but since it said you're the resident expert...could you tell me anything about "Wireless Focus?" They are a Sprint affiliate and I'm going to start working for them but I really don't know a lot about them. Is it not a good idea to work for affiliates with the merger going on?

:) I've never heard of that affiliate, but for the most part, its just like working for sprint corp, except the plans are sometimes different, and the commission structure isnt the same

I appreciate the quick response! I guess I'm just a little nervous. I'm leaving behind 8 1/2 yrs. of employment w/the competition (the "C" word) to take a position w/the affiliate and I'm just hoping I made the right decision...I'm sure all will be fine!
