View Full Version : Using BitPIM on the 8300

I installed the latest drivers from futuredial then installed bitpim... selected 7400 since 8300 wasnt there and ive heard they are pretty compatible models.. cannot detect phone....

I could not get BitPim to work with the new 8300. The only software currently compatible is DataPilot. But it cannot upload mp3 or AAC ringtones. Only midi tones (which suck). The other choice is FutureDial software. They said the 8300 would be covered in September, but I don't know if it will support the better ringtones either.

I was just curious... how DID you get the DataPilot to work with the MM-8300? I have the software and the phone and a datacable that powers the phone, which is from my PM-8200, however I can't get the software to detect the phone... am I going to have to buy ANOTHER datacable from the company? Thanks in advance!

You must do the online updates through the program itself. Mine ended up with version 3.12 when it was done.
