the only activation fee is the first time you sign up w/ sprint on one phone only. there are never any other activation fees.

One fee per account OR per line? A customer adding 2 lines pays no fee for activations? That would be better than most companies (but dont tell sprint or they will change it on us!) :bang: I know of people with Alltel that pay an activation fee ANY time they change handsets, granted its $20 but still :scare:

Wirelessly posted (Treo 650: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; PalmSource/hspr-H102; Blazer/4.0) 16;320x320)

I sold Alltel. There was no activation on handset upgrades when I sold them (1.5 mos ago)

On Sprint it's one activation fee per account.

Thanks. I bought a new phone, and well, actually i bought 2 and want to try the first one out for 2 weeks b/f i start the other one (if i even decide to start the other).

thanks.

But ya know what, that's wierd. b/c i bought a phone at best buy one time, after having my account w/ sprint for 2 years, and when i bought it and they activated it, i got charged the $36 fee, which i was told i wouldn't as long as i started my contract over again. So i called in after i noticed the charge and asked for it to be removed, iirc they insisted the charge was legitimate. I had to explain to the guy like 10x that i resigned and so shouldn't be charged. that was wierd. :P

But this time i'll be in a sprint store, so as long as the act/charge is not policy, i'm not worried about it. : )

Yeah, basically you only get charged when you're opening up an account for the first time, and even then, you only get charged the activation for one phone. I think there's even ways to avoid that.

probably. but i got some great advice here when i asked about getting out of that to set up my bro's account. They said: why not pay it. It pays for this and that, and commissions, or whatever. And i thought, hey, that's so true. I do like sprint, they give me good deals. I not one of these people who tries to get everything for free. :). My mother and brother wanted me to call in and try to get it credited/taken off. then i told them the above, and that i wouldn't. :)). (i know you weren't advocated FD, it just reminded me of that, :))

wow, could i put some more smiley faces in there? lol.

activation fee is such a ripoff, it literally takes 15 seconds and almost anyone can do it. there is no reason to charge 36 dollar for that.

Yeah, I like Sprint, too, and a one time fee of $36 doesn't bother me, and I'm sure I paid it almost 10 years ago when we activated the first phone on our plan, but I was just informing people that there might be ways to get around it.

I asked my boss for a raise once, pretty much based on the fact that the job i was doing required a higher skill set and different duties than i was actually hired for. They needed me to rewrite alot of their spreadsheets w/ better formulas, or even formulas at all (they were a little behind the times), etc, and not just enter the numbers. She didn't want to. She said: "yeah, but you're just clicking around!" (as in, it doesn't take more effort). lol. i was all: :O. wow.
