OK, so I have PCS Vision free for awhile and didn't know it until I got my bill. I figured since it's free, I can get some free ringtones from 3g. The only problem is HOW do I do this? I'm not familar with using my phone for websites. So if someone can give me a step by step instructions on how to get to 3gforfree, I would greatly appreciate it. Also step by step instructions on deleting a downloaded ringtone would be helpful too. I'm sure you guys have already posted this a million times and I appologize for not searching. My time is limited.

Thanks!

I'd answer this but MY time is limited.

You guys on this forum crack me up. I am a moderator for another forum and we do try to be more patient with folks who are new. Instead of helping someone who needs the help, often times I see smart and needless remarks. I came here seeking help.....if you don't want to answer, then don't reply with a smart comment. If you know WHERE I can find my answer, then point me to the right direction. :bang:

Not sure how it is on the 8200 but on my 8100, i just click on the ringtone i want to erase, press options and select delete. Might be the same for you.

No need for blanket statements, due to post #2...

Looks like you'll need to go to www.3gforfree.com from your phone, once you choose the ringers you want. You can sign on from there, and download your specified content.

Sorry, I don't have any direct experience with them. :( If you need any more help, feel free to post here......and someone will figure it out!

The right direction is the SEARCH that your time is too limited to use.

The inference is that YOUR time is too valuable to "waste" looking for the information whereas ours isn't as valuable to take- pointing you in the right direction , that struck me as lazy and arrogant.

Maybe I overreacted, but I didn't care for the inference so I popped off. Apologies if you were offended.

Cheers,

Dragonman

Well, basically, I just connect to Vision, select the Go To URL option in the menu, and go to www.3gforfree.com. Then, I select the category, and I find a ringtone. Then I click the link, and it will ask if you want to do a Sprint Download or a Cingular/T-Mobile Download. Just click the link for Sprint Download, and the phone should tell you that it's not Sprint Certified Content or some crap like that. Just select Continue, and the ringtone should start downloading. Then, the phone will ask you if you want to Use or Shop. If you select Use, it will exit the browser and go to where you can play that ringtone or set it as the ringtone for whatever you want. If you select Shop, it will go back to the browser, and you can click Back if you want to find another ringtone to download. It's fairly easy.

run the web browser, hit the softkey (goto url) type it in, pick the ringer you want, watch it download, look in your downloads folder, and enjoy :tu:

Sorry if you thought I was saying my time was more valuable than yours. I did do a search and I could not find what I was looking for. I guess I was getting frustrated with what seemed to be dead ends.

I got it to work, so all is well. :wavey:

For a drum corps discussion board. :)
