If select services / gold / retentions built my plan for me, can i request to speak to them to see what other plans they may be offering? If so, how do I get the "regular" rep to send me there and not actually just tell that they can help me? I would want to be polite about it, but after day 1 of the merger, i may be intrested in seeing what other options are available to me.

I spoke to someone in select services recently who told me that I could ask to speak to them about plan changes as they built my plan. The real question is, do I have to tell regular CS that I want to cancel just to talk to the dept that i got my plan from and to discuss other plan options? :deal: I would rather be able to politely ask the rep to transfer me to select services to discuss my other options, but im fairly sure they will tell me that they can help me just the same and therefore dont need to speak to anyone else.

you can ask...some reps will not xfer you (they may have been told not to by someone higher up, or just find it insulting). They can also get dinged on a monitored call if they don't attempt to assist you which is why you might have some trouble doing it as well. You may also be there already...so try letting the rep assist (i had to take a sup call b/c the customer was talking to a select service rep who cannot xfer to that dept......they had originally said they were customer service-which select is- and couldn't turn around and change it :p) And yes there is the threatening to cxl option, but you don't want to do that everytime u call in b/c it gets noted, and will affect your ability to get anything retention b/c they will think that you are only calling in to get freebies....so basically let the rep assist, if you aren't happy with what they are offering ask if they are select services...if they say no ask to be xferred...(but if you call from *2 and input your number, there are some ppl who go straight through to that dept anyways)
