Want to switch #'s between 2 phones? How?

I have two different plans through Sprint two different phones. When I went to sprint to switch the numbers between the two phones they told me I had to wait 30 days cause I had just purchased one of the phones and plans..What's up with that doesn't make any sense to me they are both from sprint..Does anyone know how to do that without them....????????? :rolleyes:

I've done that before.. Walked into a store and asked them to switch esn #. Switched my TREO650 phone # from a 4050 phone # the same day I purchased the Treo... With no problems here...

amyandlilman, the only reason i can think they would do that is if there is a 30 day return policy in oklahoma, its normally 14 day exchange, but in like 4 or 5 states its 30 days.
you can change the numbers of the phones yourself(provided you knew the MSL), but the ESN's have to be changed from one phone to another, depending on your phones, you would need cables and software to do the ESN change.
You would be better off waiting for 30 days.

If you switch before that 30 day period you will be charged full cost for the new phone, that is why you need to wait (Otherwise we think you might be commiting fraud). Once that period has passed, you can go to a store, and they'll have a dummy ESN so you can swap those two phones.

BTW, it's only 30 days in CA, and that's not going to last long with the upcoming merger.....

I just got a PPC6600 and I was told that I had to wait 45 days before I cancelled the plan (I had to activate) and then transfer it to my current plan that has two other lines on it.
Furthermore, I can't transfer the number on the new phone for 6 months! Sounds a little crazy to me, but for the deal I got, I'll survive. Since I usually just forward the number from my business line anyway, I don't care that much. :rolleyes:

If that changes soon, I certainly won't mind.
