Just wondering if anyone out there is sharing more than 5 lines on a consumer account. They did me a favor last night and added my 3 lines that each had their own plan ($20 each) and added them to my shared 2500 min. plan so I could take advantage of the phone upgrade program.

You can only share 5 lines on one account. Any more lines than that have to be on their own seperate rate plan.

Only business can "share" (it's actually pooling) more than 5 lines.

I'm now sharing 8 lines on my consumer account. The change was done by the retention dept.

That's not suppose to happen. That person is going against policies.

She did it so I wouldn't take those 3 lines to another carrier to take advantage of new equiptment with a 2 year agreement with a new carrier. I know its just a matter of time, when you will be able to share up to 10 lines, so I guess she and her supervisor decide to retain those 3 lines. It keeps me with Sprint and I am now able to get the upgrade on equiptment.

That is very strange, I have been told so many times that can't be done. I already have 5 lines and still wanted another one for someone else in the family that dint make many calls and wont raise the minute count on my plan

Same with me. I needed to add a sixth line, and was told there is NO WAY they can have more then 5 lines on one shared minute plan. Taled to at least 6 cs reps. Ended up putting the 6th line on a plan by itself. Kind of sucks, since the 5 lines on the shared plan average about $25 each and the 6th line is double that (all with vision, 7pm n/w, unlim SMS)

I've seen it happen before, too, on consumer accounts. Now we used FAST, which doesn't do business accounts, and I pulled up a customer who was eligible for 10 lines.

Lots of us are eligible for 10 lines, including me, but that isn't 10 lines sharing minutes.

This was a way for her saving the 3 seperate lines that i had with their own plan. when i first started with sprint, i had 2 shared plans, the old 1000min and 500min plans.the 1000 was converted to the $85/2000 min and the 500min shared was switched to 3 individual plans. i have also been told you can only have 5 lines sharing, but now we see there is a way.

I Had this same question a few day back, everyone was telling it could be done i would need to find a rep willing to do it, and when i was told that i knew just who to go to, and bam i have 6 lines sharing the 70$ F&F 800 mins plan.....

Here the thread

Was offered $10/AAP so that would be 6 lines sharing 2,000 minutes per month. Being that I really wanted $0.00/AAP (already have it on two of my lines, so I know the code exists somewhere in the system) for a 2-year agreement and the rep said no. Oh well. Too bad.

My guess would be that those people who have more then 5 lines setup as a shared account was done awhile ago.

Can a customer-liable business account share more than 5 lines--without violating "policy"? I have often been told that I am eligible for up to 10 lines. I might very well want to add a few more, if I could do so for only $15/mo each.

You can physically place more than 5 lines sharing an account using a system called P2K. Most agents don't have this system because we are only authorized to have customers with 5 lines sharing the consumer plan, and becuase alot can be done with the system that not everyone should be able to do. Either you got a rep who had it or a supervisor who bent the rules.

I'm currently sharing 8 lines on my account as well. I have the 3500 minute plan and I receive all my add'l 7 sub lines at $0. Not a retention plan either.

I have 10 lines on my account. 2 plans, with 5 lines on each. Basically all sharing 4000 minutes (2000 minutes for each set of 5 lines), unlimited n/w @ 6pm on both sets of lines, etc.

Works for me so far, but I am always looking to see if there is something my local rep can do for me to get me a better prices on stuff. Right now, 10 phones, $300 per month, averages out to $30.00 per phone per month, not bad I dont think!
