First the media player keeps freezing up and now it won`t let me download. I know most of ya`ll may disagree but Sanyo has problems because lockline kept sending me sanyo`s for my sammy`s and I have nothing but trouble with them. Though I did love this 8300 it is really getting on my nerves now!!

Yeah. We've been playing with one for two weeks and i haven't seen one crash. Maybe you just have a bad one? Still, i'll keep an eye out for this problem.

When I tested one out, every time I tried to load it for the first time after turning on the phone it'd freeze once, then be fine again until I powered off the phone and then back on, at which time it'd freeze again once.

Oh no, the 8300 is a buggy POS and now should be avoided at all costs.

the 8300 is a great phone, and has a bunch of helpful features, such as scrolling through missed calls on the external screen with the volume controls, great call clarity, and it comes in different colors :)

I had one for 2 weeks and it never gave me a problem.

Hold on, was that just a pro-Sanyo comment from someone who owns a Samsung?! I should probably go have my head examined.

Your obsession with Samsung is scarey. Have you ever considered seeking professional help?

So what's the concensus on the 8300. A friend of mine is wanting to use it for data with his laptop on the rare ocassion. He's got the 8100 now and would like to stay with Sanyo.

Any help or feedback on this one?

I find it amusing that sarcasm is lost on most people here.

Hmm.. he uses SnapDialer. I'll have to check their web site to see what their support is for the 8300.

Sanyo blocked the functionality from the phone.

The media player froze on me today. I had to take out the battery to reset it. Also, no matter what type of headset I use the people on the other end say they can hear static. :( This Sanyo is only 3 days old.

It's funny because if someone said the 800 " is a buggy POS and now should be avoided at all costs." Someone would be :weeping: :weeping: Some people never get it.

Any suggestions on a phone that does work as a modem? My friend uses his 8100 for that purpose about twice a month.

If the 8300 is that bad, any other Sanyo recommends? 5600?

Hi i had a question about the sanyo mm8300 phone, I was wondering when you try to play games on your phone and you turn on the sound but there is no sound at all. Is it suppose to be like this?

Thank you

I could`nt tell you that because the free games never have any sounds well most, and when I`ve tried to download games from Sprint it would`nt work. So my question to you is where did you download the game?

I can't rec. any Sanyo phones. I had a problem with my 8100 where my headset kept going out. What prompted me to turn in my 8100 was when it failed to charge. There was a short in the pins, probably the same short I had with headset jack on the phone. Other people I know haven't had any problems with the Sanyo 8200.

I am going today to swap out this 8300 with another. Hopefully that one will be much better. We shall see...

first things first...no you cannot use the 8300 for data purposes...found out the hard way...secondly coming from a 7300 to an 8300 is like living in alaska all your life only to move to hawaii to die...i enjoy the extra features the 8300 has but it lacks where the 7300 was grandest...comfort. to me the phone is great for a woman(please dont think im sexist because im not) its small and dainty and perfect for a womans hand...i am a rather large person(and no im not fat) and its like giving a tic tac to a whale. i myself am returning my 8300 and picking up the 7400 that the kid talked me out of some how its more apropos for me and has the exact same features as the 8300.
