Hello my dad has the LG-VI5225 i wanted to know if anyone knew how i could get an update for this phone.

no too familiar with his phone or updates so any would be appreciated it hasn't been updated since he got it last November

Well, if you roam you will need a PRL update. To get that dial *2 and speak with a rep. ask to have your account flagged for a PRL update. As for firmware, the current version is LX540V08. To get that (If you don't already have it), you have to go to the Sprint store and have them do a software update for you.

You could call*2, ask for technical support then a representative then and ask that your account be Flagged for a PRL update.

Call *2 again and follow the instructions

I don't believe a firmwre update has been released for the 225 yet.
