I finally got my brand new MM-8300. I checked most of the feature in phone and
these are what I thought abou them.
SCREEN - comparing with 8200, 8300 have higher res screen and you can definately
tell the difference. Screen is more vivid.
RECEPTION - It obviously improved comparing with 8200. In my room I never got
full reception with 8200 but 8300 get full reception. But same thing w/
8200 is that reception does sometimes get weak or fade out. Same w/
cingular or t-mobile.
Internal Speaker - way better than 8200. Some people say its like hearing through
card board but not at all. 8200 was, but not 8300. It has clear
sound.
External Speaker - I only tested these by AAC ringtone (48kbps made with iTunes)
but it was great. It was more than I expected. Clear sound. My
sister's samsung have mp3 ringtone feature but sound like old
time radio. Also, be sure to make AAC into mono since speaker
is mono. This will make the file small but you can still keep its
sound quality.
KEYPADS - no problem with me since I don't have large hands but for those of you
who does, may be it is hard to push. I did want a blue illuminating key
though.
CAMERA - not good. comparing with 8200, 8300s pictures contrast is low, and fuzzy.
I took picture in my room with lights on. May be better under sunlight.
There is many new feature to play with the picture you took.
CAMCORDER - well, I don't know what to expect for this feature but its quality was
not good than what I was expecting. Its hard to know what is going
on. May be it will be better under sun light.
DESIGN - I actually kind of like it. It does look bad on picture but actual phone is not
bad. Also I have noticed that flip machanism does not have its usual click
sound on sanyo phones. I did like that mechanical click sound so I do miss
does.
