I had the 4900 for 2.5 years and decided to upgrade, not because the phone broke (4900 is a workhorse) but just for fun. The one I picked up was the 8200 for about 40 dollars after rebate of 150 but after a week with it I was not feeling that it was THE phone that I wanted for another two years, although I loved the feel, size, color (blue) and look. The earpiece was crappy unless tuned really low (1-3), and the reception (NOT just the bar graph) was bare minimum for my use. I knew it was not just a bad phone because I replaced my wifes' 4900 at the same time and observed the same circumstances. I did however love the speedier vision use (computer in cell must be quite faster than the 4900) , games load faster and the camera was fun. So I traded up after a week to the 8300 which cost 130ish after the rebate. The earpiece is better on this phone than the 8200 and the reception is also better IMHO. I think the web operates even fasster with this phone than the 8200, the SprintTv is cool (love the fox news live) and being able to access my hotmail is great too. The camera and camcorder are low end indeed but fun to play with and come in handy when you need them because like your keys, you always have your cell WITH you, unlike a digi cam..

My one gripe with this phone is the keys (much the same as the 8200) They are so flat that you have to really look at the keypad all the time to make sure you hit the right key. The raised keys of the 4900 allowed you to feel for the next key when you could not see the screen. Samsung seems to have figured out a better design on their flips by providing depth to some keys thus defining them a bit?

First post, Please forgive, be nice :)
