Hello - I've seen this question posed many ways on several forums, with no clear answer, so I'll try my own version here:
I have an I-600 Smartphone and am attempting to access my work Outlook email. As has been so often reported, I can receive mail but cannot send. I've tried my Outlook server and smtp.sprintpcs.com as outgoing mail servers to no avail.
The Smartphone Pocket Outlook Client does NOT have places to enter name/password for outgoing authentication (there is a check box for using authentication, but apparantly it uses the same credentials as for inbound...)
Is there a definitive answer concerning this? Would another email client with separate authentication for inbound and outbound mail servers work, am I missing something obvious, or is the behavior by design to force the purchase of desktop-based sync service? I'm not looking for Active-sync capabilities - simply the ability to compose and respond to work emails with remote.
Thanks!
