I have a problem that when I am sent a picture mail from a friend with a Cingular RAZR, I only get a box with an "X" in it instead of the actual picture.
Another friends has a Cingular RAZR too and sent me a picture and it worked fine. So I suspected my first friends phone/settings to be bad. I then resent the same picture to my LG-325 and to another Cingular RAZR and it worked fine for the Cingular RAZR but again all my LG-325 got was a box with an "X in it.
Does anyone have any ideas of what might be wrong?
I have been having this problem with pictures from people on both Verizon and Cingular. Sometimes if I click view media the picture will show up, but it seems to not work very often with Cingular. Pixtopix.com has been much more reliable than PictureMail so far.
When ever that happens to me i just download it to my phone that does the trick for me

Good to know, I'll try that Sprint703. Does this work for anyone else?
Another annoying thing about the new Picture Mail (at least on the A800) is that when you first read a reply or new PM from someone, the phone display doesn't wrap the text that they wrote. So if they wrote more than like three words, I have to click "Message details" and sort thru a bunch of mumbo jumbo to see what they said.

the cingular red x is currently a known issue in the pcs network...has to with file conversion...sprint is working on some upgrades to fix those...dont know of an etr...alert has been out for a while.
Sometimes I get "The X" to. On my phone, when someone sends me a pic, I first get a super small thumbnail of the pic, and I have to hit "View Media" just under the thumbnail, and it then expands to full size. Sometimes, when I get the box with red X where the initial small thumbnail is, I hit "View Media" anyway, and the full size picture that was sent to me appears.

I had the exact same problem with the exact same phones a few days ago. Now I'm trying to access one of my PictureMail messages and Sprint's site is down. Why can't they do handset-delivered MMS like other carriers? And I'm also having issues with receiving text messages, too.
