I hope so too. I have one line on my account that for the past month hasn't been able to work when roaming. I have taken it in to the store flashed the software, reprovisioned, and everything still wouldn't work properly. Got a new phone and same problem. No service when analog roam or digital roam.

I had same problem when I Lived in a roaming loaction it now work better than it did!!!!

Where i live in wheeling wv i have to use PRL 10024 because my phone would not ring in analog roam when i would cross into ohio. (alltel) a store rep have me that tip and it actually worked.

I called *2 and didn't get the update. how can you get your phone flagged automatically?

I got this update a week or so ago and now my phone roams in digital instead of analog. I did find out also that the tower I roam on here at work is a us cellular tower. *2 works on it, just takes you to their cust service though.

if the system doesn't notice, you talk to a rep. and they "flag your account" then just call back for the update

I tried for two days to get phone to update the PRL after having my account flagged. This morning I powered down the phone, removed the battery - then replaced battery and powered up the phone and called *2 and the update worked like a charm. I now have PRL 10029.

I just called and hit 1 for English and it was downloaded in like a minute. It would be cool if it said what some of the improvements were.

what exactly is this PRL 10029 you speak of? does it only apply to roaming or is it some sort of firmware update... thanks

PRL-Prefered Roaming List. Helps your phone to better locate/use towers when roaming.

This won't help your Sprint signal inside...

We been getting many complaints about 10029 and have been placing 10028 back on several phones.

That's possible ? I didn't know you could revert back to a previous PRL. I wish I had 10028 on my phone still.

it easy all you need to do is go to your store say "hey this new prl sucks on my phone can you place to old one back on" and normally they will.

This can only be done in the store.

Ah okay, I didn't think of that. I was only thinking about OTA updates. Makes sense though.
