hey wuz goin on,

due to the poor sound quality that the headphones packaged with the 5600 put out, I was considering buying these headphones I saw on the sprint website called Minibuds for 20 bucks. It says that they have a better frequency response and better sound quality or something like that. Anyway, just wondering if anyone has tried them. I'm just sick of listening to my MP3's on the standard ones. They don't sound that good.

I am not sure about the headset you mentioned, but I bought a pair of these recently and have been pretty happy with their performance and fit. They are designed for use with a mobile phone and sound pretty damn good for MP3s, and great during calls. For the $20-30 price tag they are a good set IMO. They are not Bose, but then again, you are not paying $100 for them either. They also come with an adapter that allows you to use them with a standard 3.5mm headset jack (for iPod and whatnot)

EDIT: I just checked out the minibuds you mentioned and it looks like they do not have a turbo button that allows you to answer calls from the headset. I would not buy the minibuds just for that reason alone.

Will they work on a 7400? I upgraded from my Uproar(the original mp3 phone) to my 7400 and I'm used to speaking to people in stereo. I'll even use the one's that come with the 5600 if they fit. Anyone know?

I just purchased this pair of stereo headphones off of ebay. They have not arrived yet, but i'm hoping that these will be great for the 7400.

Do those have a mike, Mike? Sorry, couldn't resist. ...So you can talk on the phone with them? What brand/model are those? Can you let us know how they work?

They do have a mic & turbo button. They are supposedly the same ones Sprint was selling at very few stores for $40. I have been eyeing them myself, and can't wait for FishLover's review. :)

I'm excited, because I received an e-mail stating that they have been shipped today. Before I decided to buy them, I wrote the seller a question about the features that are included with the headset. He told me that there is a Talk/End button, volume control, and the two different styles shown in the picture. I don't think I will be going wrong because they were only 6.99 and 4.95 for shipping. My total was $12 and that is cheaper than the headset I have now, which at first I had fallen in love with, but now I have to shout for people to hear me. It's a nice set, but i'm going to return my belkin because I have purchased this headset.

That sprint headset pictured above is awesome. I also bought mine from eBay. I read somewhere on these forums that those headphones are for multimedia phones only. I don't know because I haven't tried it on any other phone besides my current one. I think I might have bought it from the same guy you did Fish because I only saw one person selling them on eBay. As bud pointed out they are $40 at sprint stores so it was a great deal at $12 from ebay. I like this set because it does have a mic and I can hear the person through both headphones which I like compared to the one ear pieces that you get for handsfree use. So far these headphones are great. I might buy another pair just in case something happens to the current ones I have.

Thanks for the input! Hey, how well does the volume control work, sometimes with regular hands-free I have trouble hearing the person, so with the added feature of stereo and volume control do you ever have problems hearing the people you're talking to?
Also, how well is the mic? On the last hands-free I had, people could only hear me if i shouted.
Thanks,
-Mike

That is why I havn't ordered them yet. I would like to get a PDA or SmartPhone, but I would want the headset to work with it.

So I take it that the earphones sound full with good volume? I had a pair of Koss headphones that recently broke on a my trip to SoCal. I just purchased a pair of panasonic headphones and they are going back, they sound aweful.

I think they sound good to me. To me they seem clear, but some people just can tell how better/worse things are.

So then, can anyone give me some input on the original reason for this thread? does anyone recommend any of these headsets for better mp3 listening on the 5600. I dont like the sound quality of the ones packaged.

Try the ones that we are discussing about from eBay. It's around $12 and I think they sound great. I don't know about the minibuds but these are headphones for both ears. They come with some that cover the ear and the earbuds that go inside the ear. You can also use them as a handsfree set.

Just about anything you buy will be better then the set that comes with the phone. Also their are not a lot of choices when it comes to stereo headsets/handsfrees. I would get the ones on eBay like rufio mentioned. That way if you don't like the headphones or earbuds that are supplied with it, you can use your own headphones or earbuds with it. :)

Oh, that is true. I don't know why I didn't think of that. It comes where you can plug any 3.5mm head phone jack into the cord that plugs into the phone. Great point. That's another plus for this set. Nice find.

Hello: I'm having a hard time finding a Stereo earbud set WITHOUT the mike. I just want the ear bud type without the mike so I can listen to Sirius or MobiTV while working out or walking. I don't need it to answer phone calls. Has anyone seen them on e-bay or on the web. I went to me local Sprint store and everything they sell has a mike on it. I have the Samsung MM-A700.

Thanks for your help.

If you wanted to, you could buy a 2.5 adapter and use any earbuds. I know box wave makes earbuds with out a mike, which they have on there website.
