So I've had an 8100 for almost two years. I don't use the camera or web or email or txt msg'ing. I love the battery life, although it's not as long as it was even 6 months ago. I love the size, usability, external display and durability (I can't count how many times I'd dropped this phone, kicked it across a parking lot, had the battery pop off from hitting pavement "just right", etc. and it hasn't broke).

So. Should I get one of them $10 batteries (non-oem of course) off ebay? Or since it's cheaper to buy a new phone than a new OEM battery, should I ditch the 8100 and go with an 8300?

Accessories aren't an issue, I don't have any other than the default charger and the belt clip radio shack sells.

I'd say it's time to get a new phone. Since you mentioned that you've dropped it multiple times, I'm guessing there are scratches and what not. I mean, I wouldn't trust a non-OEM battery anyway, especially not one from EBay. I would only buy OEM batteries, but if I can get a new phone for the same price, why not?
