No more included SMS with new Vision packages?

I just signed up for the vision picture pack then called customer service cause i noticed the additional text mess. on my current useage page so I called a cutomer rep and they told me text mess are no longer included in plan. :irked:

yeah well, presumably you are only paying $10/mo for this Vision option.

On one hand, it makes sense to unbundle SMS from Vision. The bundling was a vestige of the Shortmail / Wireless Web legacy (to send a text msg with Shortmail phones, you need to get onto the Internet using Vision or Wireless Web). Now, SMS is a totally unrelated service to Vision, so it makes sense to unbundle them.

On the other hand, once again, the customer is being screwed by getting less for the same money (the trend of nearly all recent pricing changes by Sprint). Previously, the $15/mo Vision option included 100 SMS *and* a download credit, but now the $10/mo vision includes neither.

A question for knowledgeable Sprint CS reps: Does the new $10/mo Vision option include incoming Shortmail/WW text msgs ? The old $10/mo and $15/mo Vision does. What Vision option is a Shortmail phone user supposed to get and not be charged for text msgs ?

Shortmail never did have an associated price...billing was done on the vision level per kilobyte. So yeah...the new $10 vision plans have them covered.
