I forgot my picturemail passwd so I clicked on 'Forgot your password' and had it sent. It didn't come for many minutes so I tried several variations of what I thought it was. Finally I got the SMS with the correct passwd and when I tried to login I got that message. Is it because of all the failed attempts or could something else be going on? Is it routine to lock it after many failed logins?
I have the original $10 vision (unlim sms, etc) and I've always been able to upload to and use pictures.sprintpcs.com, so, I don't think that should have changed?? OTOH I don't really want to call to unlock it since I'm on an old grandfathered vision, i'd rather not have them 'looking into things' and risk them 'sorry sir your vision was the wrong type, i've put you on our BETTER NEW vision plan instead...' and losing my unlimited SMS, etc which is included!
Is there any thing I can do to unlock it besides talking to support? Is the best thing to do to dial *2, or send an ecare email, or .... ?

I had that happen to me too, but I just shut my phone off, disconnected the battery, reconnected it (I know.. duh! but I do troubleshooting for a living.. you'd be surprised at how stupid people can be) then turn it back on and try again. It has *always* worked for me. Give it a go and let us know if it worked.

Naw.. I'm trying to login via the web at http://pictures.sprintpcs.com ... not upload from the phone or anything. I went ahead and reset anyway (why not) .. and .. same thing. :irked:

ok...you need to call data support, and they can unlock it for you...or, if you are in the NJ area, take a trip over to my store, and I'll take care of it for you

if its like the sprintpcs.com site, just wait like an hour and you'll be able to access it again. i had the same problem but with www.sprintpcs.com

Hmmm... Well have u tried updating your vision profile on your phone? That maybe some sort of help towards you logging in online.

for future reference a locked pictures account does not unlock with time, by any special phone trick, or by clicking your heals. It can only be unlocked by support. Call 1-866-818-1858

Thanks desi, spicy, ashy... I wish I'd had that number before i called *2 which was useless as the gentleman really wanted to help me even though he didn't really know what picturemail was..he kept telling me my www.sprintpcs.com password... anyway.. finally got to a data rep and got it unlocked...and a nice upsell for a 2nd line/shared minutes which my plan isn't even compatible with I don't think...and then hung up on me when i asked about that... ;)
If i'm ever in the area i'll stop by the store Deval ;) ... or your kiosk spicychic ;)
