Dude-thought you were dead-took long enough for you to reply to this thread! :) anyway-the first time TD jr forgets where he is on the field, his head gets taken off by greenway or hodges. Bye bye buckeye offense! we put up 33 on your d last year-with no running game. with one this year-Tate will carve your d up for 350+ and 4 or 5 tds. You heard it here first!!!

You might get a shot or to on Ted Ginn Jr. but you have to catch him first. :) You did see him start on one side of the field only to run to the other side, while he out ran the entire defense? I think that happened a few times. He's one fast cat. I think Smith and Pittman will will surprise you. If Tate goes down bye bye Hawks offense. I hope both teams are healthy before and after. I don't want any excusses.

Not taking anything away from Iowa kicking the Buckeyes A@@ last year but I think either Ohio State didn't come ready to play or they just had a bad game. I think you would say the same about Iowa/Airzona St game last year. It just happens. Don't think your going to whoop my BUCKEYES 2yrs in a row buddy. lol

Iowa will lose this year to Ohio State! It'll be a battle, we both have good defenses and offenses, but it's payback time.

Ann Arbor is easily and undeniably the best place for College Football. UofM will own the Big Ten as well the National Championship. U can quote that for truth ;)

Well, since it looks like we've got quite a Big Ten thing going here I'll tell you that I am a Penn Stater. Although that's been hard to admit for a few years!

So you guys can razz me when your teams beat up on mine. :irked:

all i know is that if i could go to 5 college stadiums to see a game, they would be:

1) Big House- Mich
2) Wisconsin (if only for the House of Pain- Jump Around dance)
3) Wherever the World's Largest ****til Party (FLA v. Georgia) is
4) Tennessee v. Florida/Bama/Who cares its a freakingly huge stadium though i hate that rocky top song
5) Oregon (v. Oregon State)

I said the Spurs would beat your Pistons which they did and I'll say Ohio State will beat Michigan even at the big house. :fingers: I know one thing is that Michigan probally won't let Mr. Smith rack up the rushing yards like last year.

i was at the oh-so-thrilling 6-4 Iowa victory in un-happy valley (5 straight losses to the Hawks). really, the Penn State fans were very nice. course, all their anger was fueled at the Lion offense...not much left for us. :)

we actually have a great respect for Penn State. as you may recall, it was our overtime victory againt the ranked Lions (in happy valley) in 2000 that turned our program around (first win that year after going 1-10 in 1999). we went on to win two more games after that (just missing a win at Minnesota, in the last minute, that would have had us 4-4 in Big 10 play). then in 2001 we won 7 games - then 11, 10, and 10. 3 straight final rankings of 8th. all thanks to Penn State!

incidentally...that about is when the Penn State slide started, right? fate can be so cruel!

ps...won't get your shot to end the Hawk winning streek until 2007...sorry!

tbaker...i just might have come to OSU for the game this year...course the Buckeyes took back 4000 of the visitor tickets FOR THIS GAME ONLY and thus i couldn't get any. :(

anyway...what you should all keep in mind is that the best beef in the world (corn fed) comes mainly from iowa. hence our steaks will trump anything you can throw at them in the shoe, the big house, or camp randall. remember, it's best Place for college football...not just stadium. :)

my move to NC pretty much coincides with that -- maybe it's my fault! ;) Actually, although I have tremendous respect for JoePa, and I think he should stay as long as he wants, I have to wonder how his age has been affecting recruiting, etc.

In this region I suppose the "Best Place for College Football" is Death Valley (Clemson). It kind of reminds me of Penn State in that it is a huge stadium in a relatively rural area. Of course Penn State is more huge. Isn't Beaver Stadium still #2 after the Big House? Or maybe Tennessee is #2? Anyway, on football saturdays, State College PA becomes the fourth largest city in PA. I guess it's similar for Iowa City.

i like the SEC..and the fact we are 2-0 in our last two bowl games...against SEC teams. :headbang2 seriously, i would like to make it down to some of those games in the near future.

Ted Ginn said "I might be small but I can play ball". :)

"I just run," he said. "My objective is to get to the end zone as fast as I can."

Nobody in college football gets there faster. Ted Ginn might look good when he walks -- feet on the ground or not -- but he looks like a superstar when he runs.

I don't know why no one mentioned this, but I think Nebraska is the best place for college football. There is no competition here; its NU or nothing. The whole state rallies behind our team. Hell, when they play, the stadium becomes the 3rd biggiest city in the state. You can hear the stadium from about 10 miles away. *Shrug* I dunno, seems big around here. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find ANY state that gets behind its team like we do. Oh yeah, we also have the record for most consecutive sold-out games. Even with the crappy past few years.

You did see my Buckeys didn't you? ;) I know Iowa starts there season playing some week teams but you never know. I think on any given day practically anybody has a chance of beating anybody. Also I know Chad is a good linebacker for Iowa but I think I would rather have the buckeyes depth in the LB posistion. It's nice to know if one LB gets injured (knock on wood) we a have a few that can step right in and contribute.

We can use as many fans as we can get! The offense is TERRIBLE this year! But hell, we blocked 2 field goals last game, so maybe our special teams/defense can carry us to victory?

Heh, at least we haven't lost a game yet, unlike some Iowa teams :bang:  .
