I've got the MM7400. When I receive a picture from someone I get the text message with a hyper-link to the photo. I've heard others talk like they are receiving the picture right to their phone without a hyper-link. Am I misunderstanding them or are some phones capable of this? And if so which phones.

Same here... I don't know know of any sprint phone where you wouldn't have to click on a hyperlink to view pics... Unless it's different on the newer multimedia phones.

Maybe the posts that I read were from people on other carriers. I wish we didn't have to go online to view the pics, but we do what we must I guess. :indiff:

yeah, other carriers do to MMS for pictures. sprint uses there home grown pictureshare system where you get a link that connects you to the internet to the real content (much like thier old Shortmail system before they switched to true SMS for text). I hope the next generation of sprint phones will use the industry standardized way, but who knows, sprint can be real good at innovating new methods, but then real slow at addopting the standards one in place. but at this time all sprint phones do the link system.
