Problems with connecting to GSM services?

Coincidence?: Any1 have problems with quality when connected to GSM services ie TMobile or Cingular?

It seems my friends/family on the TMobile or Cingular network have problems hearing me even thought I show good to gr8 signal strength. & I can hear them fine.

IS this a CDMA- GSM coimpatibality or lack of issue?

Well, I know when I visit my sister in Tampa, I can't get a signal inside her house but she CAN with her TMobile service.

My friend in Thousand Oaks California live up on a side of a mountain in a new development & they can get signal fine with their Cingular service. But I am digitally roaming when I go visit.

Now when I'm back in DC, is when the problem of compatability question comes up for me...It seemsthey ask me to repeat alot of words. :confused:

Not when they are using Verizon or Sprint.

Thus I ask about the compatibility with GSM. Has CDMA moved on or is GSM starting to fall behind??:confused:

hmmm...sounds weird...my friends who are non-sprint have no problems hearing me
