Hi Gang,
I will try to keep this short and simple.

Here is the official review of the MM phones, I think I got them all:

PhoneScoop.com Review and Compariosn. (http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/compare.php?id%5B%5D=674&id%5B%5D=554&id%5B%5D=749&id%5B%5D=725&id%5B%5D=532)

I say this phone is the best bang for the buck for several reasons.

GREAT PRICE!
GREAT REVIEWS!
Nice Large Screen for your MM Pleasure.
Great Sound Quality
Great Feel
Great Camera / Camcorder(for a phone)
Easy to use and Functionality.
Speaker Phone
Why flip when you can slideWerd :werd: (You don't have to worry about that breaking, me and hinges don't get along.)

All of thses features balled up into a phone that only costs 379.99 it is amazing. I bet if this phone had a Sanyo, or Samsong label on it, the price would be $100 more.

Comparing this phone with the other MM phones, this phone is, with out a doubt...
the best bang for the buck.

This phone is comparible in everyway minus the 2mp Camera then the A800

Plus it is lighter AND has a speakerphone  (well, the A800 has a longer battery so that could be the weight difference :p

Only the A800 is 125dollars more!! :scare:

I have been a sprintpcs user since nov 2001. This is probally, hands down the best phone I have used with Sprint.

The only thing I do NOT LIKE about this phone AT ALL IS THAT FLIMBSY ANTENNA!!
Good thing It can be replaced though, I may invest in an aftermarket antenna that won't feel like it's going to break when putting it down...i rarely use the antenna anyway as it is really only used for analog calls.

Welp, thats my review! I give it a 9.99 / 10 (It lost points for the antenna) :bang:

I am starting to notice minor bugs that I will try to document here as well:

I have version 43 it came standard when phone purchased.

Bugs / Code Errors.

Alarm Icon: Even AFTER I turned my alarms off the icon still appeared. I had to go into the alarm menu and click on reset all for the icon to go away. The icon should only be showing when an alarm is "ON"

Non-Bugs but Annoyances

Missed Calls: With my previous phones, when you have a missed call or 5 of them yuo could immidiatly scroll through the list. With this phone you must exit out of the missed calls screen, that will bring you back to the main menu THEN you have to goto the call log and view the missed call screen..That is taking some getting used to.

Observation:

While talking on the phone, you cannot see what time it is, even by hitting the back button the only thing that will show is.

Caller Info
Time on current call.

This is a minor annoyance.

25 Ringer Maximum.

You can not download more then 25ringers. If you try to exceed this limit your phone will power off.

I have been using ORB.com and it has been working perfectly, I know some other phones have problems with mp3 and streaming video but I have not had any problems what so ever, I love orb! :)

Okay,

I have had the phone for a full two months now.

I am still very happy with this phone, and it being one of the best phones I have used with sprint PCS.

Things I wish: more then 25AAC ringtones.

I live in a very TOUGH reception area and i do drop calls everynow and then but i already knew that would happen prior to getting the phone.

I have gotten dozens of compliments on the phone :)

Number of times Dropped: ZERO
Minutes Loggeg: Almost 10,000

Everything is still working in Mint.

Oh, another thing I noticed is sometimes when I goto "View my online album" all the pictures come up black for some reason, then i have to restart the phone, i don't know if this is just a bug with my phone or what.. other then that everything is great, love the phone I really love the screen and slider action, i didnt think I would like the slider, but i grew fond of it.

Final score so far, 99.9% still for the little things mentioned in previous posts.

Okay,
I have had the phone going on 4 months.

This last week I have noticed my side buttons (the scroller) are becoming glitched. When I try to scroll up sometimes I have to push much harder then i used to, almost like its getting worn out :(

----
ALSO
----

When I try to "View my online albums" It will bring me to my online album but all of the pictures are black, I don't know if this is a vision problem or a problem with the phone. After a restart i can then view my album with no problem, it is pretty consistant i don't knof if its due to lower reception in my house either, but why would it work after i restart?

Until my next update, rock on.

I'm still EXTREMLY HAPPY with this phone, this phone has given me more joy then any other phone I have owned :headbang2

Alright gang,
I think in my previous post (to lazy to look up and read it)

I mentioned 2 things.
1) Bad Battery
2) Failing button.

1) I took the phone to the sprint store today, to make a potentially long story short I had to leave my battery there for 5hours so they could test it, they would not give me a loaner phone or battery.. so i was without a phone. Anyway I went back to the store and they confirmed what I had already known, the battyer was a POS.

They gave me a new battery, so far this one is much better..meaning I can actually talk on the phone for more then an hour with out it dying :)

2) The button on the phone was faililng, but the weird thing is, now that I have a new battery it hasnt messed up, it has worked every time. I don't know if i knocked something in the phone over the past day or two or if the battery had something to do with that but everything isd working 100% again :)

Overall satisfaction upto this point: 99.9% HAPPY! still hate my crappy antenna :indiff:

Until the next update :wavey:

Alright People, fellow 535 lovers and people following my updates.

For the past month or so my phone has been doing weird things with the Screen. I would open it up and the screen would be blank. Or I would answer a call, talk for several minutes hang up and notice my phone was stuck on the "Call from...." Screen.

So I took it into the sprint store when i noticed the problem was not going away, and ofcourse they didnt believe me, told me to power cycle the phone and that would make it ok, they said to bring it back when the phone was stuck or screen was blank.

So, yesturday I was near a sprint store when it was stuck, and ofcourse there was not a tech guy on hand so i had to leave.

This morning my phone was really doing weird things so i immediatly went to the sprint store.

The guy said well your warrenty is void because there are a lot of 3g for free things on there.

LIE! All of my ringers are home made, all of the software has been downloaded directly from sprint all of the screen savers were custom done by yourse truly, and no where in the data software does it say if i transfer data am I voiding my phones warrent.

so after bickering with this half assed salesman about whats voiding the warrenty or not he brings my phone back to the tech guys and i wait for an hour.

I go to pick up my phone and he says, alright man its all better , all the ringers were gone ofcourse, apps and all of that which i really dont care..but the problem was still there!! The phone was STUCK on the screen when he handed it to me, so i walk back to the tech door, knock on it and show them.

So they take the phone back, 5mins later they are like its okay so i inspect it for a min then i leave.. as soon as I pull out i goto make a phone call and it gets STUCK AGAIN!!!

so I'm heated at this point, I go back to the store, storm past the guy and I try my hardest being polite, i think i told them i wasnt trying to be an ******* but they told me my phone was fixed 2 times at this point but its still doing the same thing????

Anyway, they finally put a phone on order for me, said it should be 2 weeks but i am getting a replacment.

You have to be very persistant with these folks, they try there hardest to get you out the store and hope you never come back.

Well, ill let you know if i get a refurbed phone in a few weeks or not :)

Well,
I didnt think the time would come so soon, but this is my last review of this phone.

Why? If you read the previous post sprint was ordering me another one, but it turns they are discontinued or something because they can't order them for a while.

SO, sprint store ordered me a Fresh, new Samsung A800.

Overall I loved this phone, I really wish i didnt have these problems, This is by far one of the best phones I have used with sprint.

However, I am lokoing foward to trying new technology out, and a camcorder that can record more then 15seconds and a phone that can hold more then 25high qual ringtones :)

Other then that It has been a real fun time with this phone, parting it on thursday will be hard :indiff: ..

Problems:

Battery (replaced @ SPrint)
Numerous Display Problems (Which led to a new phone)
I felt the hinge Getting Weaker (just annoying)
Would call people, but they couldnt hear me. (This happend after the display started getting bad)
Antenna is poor quality. (From day 1 i hated and never used the antenna)

God Bless, Good night. :wavey:
