i just upgraded from an 8100 to an 8200 and got the cable to grab some pictures and ringers off my old phone.

i was able to grab the info off the old phone using BitPim, but all i can get to upload to the new phone is the phone book. i can't get images or QCP audio files to upload at all.

8100 software version: 1.115sp
8200 software version: 1.007SP
(don't know if that matters - but there it is)

Actually,
Bitpim won't work -at this point in time - for u/l ringers. I am using an 8200 and connecting up okay. One thing I do notice is that sometimes I will need to "Detect Phone" more than once for it to connect up. Also, when you "Send phone data" it doesn't place them in the Downloads area of your phone. Bitpim looks like it doesn't do anything when it is writing- it just says "Busy" on the bottom.... You have to go to your menu, hit 8 (tools/extras) then 5 (PC Sync), that is where you will find anything you xfer from Bitpim. If you watch the LOG tab, it should tell you what it is doing while it is doing it, as well as any errors...

Hope that helps!
