The NHL players have voted in favor (90%) of the CBA. All that is left is for the owners to do the same tomorrow (a formality). Thus endeth the lockout. :headbang2
I'm quite intrigued to see what the rule changes will end up being (to be announced tomorrow as well, apparently) to open up the game.
The next few weeks will be insane as the teams scramble to build their squads under the new CBA guidelines. Somehow I don't think my Caps are going to emerge as one of the teams to beat...alas.
Thank the good Lord - next June there will be something to watch besides the boring-as-hell NBA playoffs!!!

i'm hoping for no red line and smaller goalie pads.
And now, who will actually go back to watch the games? In Buffalo their is no NBA team to fight for the sports fans $$ and with parity every teams chances are more like the NFL. The overall deal should benefit the smaller market teams and might even make the game more exciting to watch with more of a chance that any team really can beat anyone else on any night. Hey, maybe the Rangers can even put a team on the ice that can play now that they wont be throwing money at older superstars! Just glad I have something to watch after the Bills are out of the playoffs.......
