Question, we have iTunes on our machine. I am trying to create a custom ringtone, and need to get the song to open as a WAV.

I have Winamp and all the necessary applications. I have changed the output to the what the thread recommends. I am having a problem though "opening the song in Winamp."

I put a CD in the drive, and because of the iTunes settings I assume, all songs are recongnized as iTunes files. I'm sure it's a WAV, but I need to get this song into Winamp and play it so that it will run it thru the appropriate output configurations.

Any suggestions?

Basically, I need to get the song into a WAV format into the PVConverter directort to get to the cropping/sound recorder step.

Thnaks

You can change the program that opens your music CD by going into Explorer and going to Tool/Folder Options/File Type Then scroll down until you see the WAV extension and inthe box below you can change what program opens the .WAV files

...I believe he meant Windows Explorer (for browsing your machine vs. internet)...

question: will that screw up my girlfriend's itunes settings, or perhaps I should just change it back after i get the wav converted properly?

thanks!
