What you probably need to do is instead of clicking on the link, you need to right-click on the link you want, then pick 'Save Target As...'. That should let you save the file where you want.

sorry about the file sizes....to make them smaller requires either shorter clips or lower quality....for those of you who have a 5600 like myself, you will definitely notice the change in clarity.

i know the older files i have are 300k and some bigger, but the way i've been making the new ones , i've been trying to stay close to 200k. i may also start posting these in high and low quality formats to further reduce the file size.

as for the excitebike ringtone....i actually have 2 midi ringers that sound pretty good...

there are 3 different types of ringers that i am aware of....

MIDI (polyphonic) - these are very small file sizes and use computer synthesizer (no voice reproduction) to mock the sound of a song. approx file size 30 secs = 1-15k

QCP (Voicetone) - this type is an audio clip of the real song that is highly compressed, giving it an AM Radio sound. approx file size 30 secs = 40-60k

ACC (MP3 Ringer) - These are pretty much the best yet, they are lower bitrate mp4(mp3) clips of songs that through the cellphone speaker, sound like a near perfect rendition of the song. approx file size 30 secs = 150 - 300k(full quality)

as far as file size goes, i put the highest quality ones on mine(i can hold between 10-13 on my 5600)...i figure thanks to focus, you can change them whenever you want. also, because i host these ringers on a site, you can download a different one at any time from the library. not just when people PM them to you.

i do this for fun. unlike others, i don't require that you donate money. i run my own dj business, this site is run off a subpage of my company site, so it is no additional cost to me. since i dj, i have a very extensive music collection from which to draw from for ringtone requests too.

so keep those requests coming. i enjoy making these ringtones for everyone. it sure beats paying a ringtone site and not knowing how it sounds til it's purchased and gets to your phone.

i've got the process down to an art. In addition to the format change, I cut the length down, cut out the bass that would distort the speaker(allows for more volume), and fade it at the end too. it only takes about 2 minutes tops. so you will get it quick. just check the site periodically after a request. feel free to ask for more than one at a time too.

the software i use is Goldwave audio editor for all the editing and filtering (i also use it to make samples for my own remixes too...), and quicktime pro for the converting to mp4 audio.

First Off, Best Buy's Warranty People Can Kiss My *****.

The reason you haven't heard from me in a while is because my PC's CPU overheated, and best buy takes way too long to do warranty work. but that aside, my apologies to those of you waiting for requests.

I'll be getting started on the update tonight after i get home from work (about 2am), so if all goes well, any ringer requests that i have not filled and have the song for (which by the looks of it is most of them) will be posted to my site by morning.

i figured i had none on my site , i might as well put a handful up(sorry guys, no nudity).

updates to the new screensaver page and the new ringtones section will be happening periodically, no set amount of time really. you can count on no less than once a week, but most likely, it will be more often than that.

Hey George, i'm back again. I made an earlier request for a song named "Preso", you did it and it came out good. Unfortunately, I was requesting the wrong song. Hey could you do the chorus of Focus by Brandy? Also, what program do you use to trim the mp3s?
