I tried Bitpim about a year ago with my Sanyo 8200, with no luck. Since then, I have the newest version of Datapilot, and can sync my phones just fine! However, I would still like to be able to transfer pictures from my phone to the comptuer via the cable.
Now, ahas anyone discovered a safe and relatively easy way to get pics from the sanyo 8200 to the PC via Bitpim?
Thanks a ton in advance,
Matt!

Bitpim will transfer the camera pictures from the 8200 to the PC. Just get the wallpaper and the pictures will be transferred too.

Hello....
Are you saying that if i backup the wallpapers, the pictures will come along automatically? Is there any documentation or instructions that tell how to do all of this on the 8200 with bitpim? Also, is it pretty safe? I would like to keep the data from being erased (obviously). Sawpcs, Did you have this same phone?
Thanks a TON!

No, they just call all the pictures in the phone and camera "wallpapers" in the bitpim software. Curiously, on the 8200, when you "save to phone" the image gets landscaped and shrunk to the screen size. You'll get better (but not great) resolution while the images are still "in camera."

Pete

It is safe if you only read ("Get Data") from the phone.

Yes.

Not sure if you XP users know about this.... There is a quick and simple way to size your images WITHOUT having to use any editing software!
If you download the "Image Resizer" power toy from the Microsoft site
(http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx) it is easy...
After you install it, when you right click on an image, it gives the option to "Resize Pictures". When the window opens, select "Advanced>>", then click "Custom" set your image size (for my 8200, I use 160x132), click " OK". After that, it makes a 'resized copy'. You can then use Bitpim to u/l. :headbang2
