I just bought a Sanyo 5600...pretty sweet! :)

First off, thanks for all the FAQs. The easy instructions made making my own ringers and videos a snap...they all worked the very first time I tried it.

I just have a couple questions. Since the 5600 and handful of phones are the only ones to support AAC ringers, does that mean they are the newest/best type of ringer, or just different from qcp ringers? Is there a difference in quality/settings that would permit the use of one over the other?

Secondly, when I put images on my miniSD, some jpgs work fine, whereas others show the filename/file size summary information, but appear only as red X's on the display. Are there certain file compression settings (i.e. EXIF metadata, compression amount, dpi resolution, etc) that you have to use in order for it to appear correctly?

That leads me to this question...even when the images ARE appearing, it'll say "This image cannot be set." when attempting to assign it to the standby display...is the only way to get ringers and images to your phone really through Focus?

Thanks in advance. Cya!

aac ringers sound MUCH better than qcp ringers. the only downside is that they take up way mor space than a qcp ringer.

i dont think you can hav files that are too large pixel wise be set unless they are photos taken by the camera on the phone

Thanks for the replies...

So only pics at 240x320 can be posted to the phone?
