Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone has any information on selective call blocking on cell phones. I have a Treo600 and my exboyfriend won't stop calling me. It's actually pretty upsetting, but I can't change my phone number because I'm an independant contractor. Does anyone know of a website to contact or maybe software I can download - not free shareware either, I will pay for a download. Please, someone help me out! I can't deal with this anymore!

report him to the police and make it illegal for him to call you.

CallFilter works GREAT on the 600. I wish there was a version for the 650. Good luck... :fingers:

If you haven't told him to stop calling, do so. I know this sounds like a given, but you really need to make it clear that you're going to call the cops if he won't stop harassing you. Simply blocking his number won't stop him if he's determined; he'll use another phone. If you really think it's not that serious, just tell him point blank that he needs to stop or you're going to involve the cops. Unless he's a hardcore stalker/jealous ex/etc... that should put a stop to it.

If he still refuses to stop calling, you really need to call the cops, because that means he's one of those things. I know that sounds over the top, but it's true; a sure sign of an abuser (or potential abuser) is someone who refuses to leave you alone. I don't mean to sound melodramatic, but you need to protect yourself. If he won't stop calling you, what else won't he stop at?

When you call the cops, just explain the situation. If they won't take you seriously, tell them you're afraid of your ex. (Even if it's not true.) You don't have to "press formal charges" necessarily; you just need to make it clear to your ex that if he doesn't stop, he's going to have bigger problems.

If he still won't stop, file harassment charges, which can also include getting a restraining order against him. Hopefully it's not too serious, and it'll stop long before it ever gets there. But... just keep your options in mind, and don't bluff; be prepared to do whatever you need to do.

FYI: I'm not a paranoid, feminist ex-girlfriend of an abuser. I'm a guy who has seen this crap happen too many times to friends. Don't let it happen to you.

Good luck, and be safe-
