I've had this phone for less than a day, but I wanted to post a "knee jerk" review, as well as one more in-depth once I am fully acclimated.
First of all, I love the design. I honestly do, it's not me justifying. It actually is starting to feel intuitive in my hand. At first, I did NOT think this would be the case, but the more I use it, the more I like it. It slides up very resoundly, and clicks solidly back into place. No awkward "trying to type, but it keeps sliding around" crap like I'd feared.
My other phones are an MM-7400 and a G1000. I miss T9, and there's no way I can get around that. The text-to-speech has been about 95% accurate, and usually self-corrects to within 98%, but I shall shout it from the mountain tops-- I MISS T9!! I'm getting used to EziTap, and on words more than 5 characters, I like it, but most of my texts are quick and dirty. I do enjoy, however, that it has quickly learned the names of some of my favorite bars, and will fill them out quickly as I text friends.
The camera? Hah. Head and shoulders above the rest. Sure, it takes like 3 seconds to take a picture, but the picture is of such high quality that I'll gladly give up the immedacy. The macro shots stun everyone, and the overall pic quality is fantastic.
The menus, while intimidatingly random at first, all fall into place. I just know what to press to get what I want done. You know how it goes-- nothing's quite 'intuitive' at first, but it all falls into place.
Battery life so far is excellent. I've had it merely a score of hours, so I can't really judge, but I've yet to go down to two bars.
Um, media player... cool. MP3s and all that. Nice. Haven't played with it yet, so no honest review at the moment.
The drawback for me is that when I pull it out of my pocket, it involuntarily opens. Like, I grab the back and pull up and it comes out open. That's my only qualm (other than no T9).
As a casual user, the phone's perfect, honestly. It hasn't reset, dropped any calls, excessively roamed, etc. It's been a more-than-solid phone, and a sur-par camera. But that's just me.
